BDO got a huge influx of new players and now PA wants to keep them, we know that and i m happy about it because every MMO relies on newcomers. But.....they cant change the game we loved all these years! I ve been many years a WoW player and i left because every bit of content at end game is istanced....BDO struck me precisely as an OPEN WORLD GAME, what a pleasure to travel around to grind or quest or do some lifeskilling and see ppl around me doing their own things....world feels alive..... BDO got great combat and grinding is the best silver/hr activity, as expected in an open world you have to pick your spot because other player all around you. Not a big problem, we got different rotations each spot, we got channels fast swap and guild channel, we got 1hr Marni, we even got lately a faster respawn in many spots...... But now, PA wants to increase Marni room to a max of 11hrs/day. Ppl will go there, why not and bothering for competition? The world will become empty, the main game activity will become instanced.....is that good for an open world MMO? Is that really necessary?

These changes address the need for new players to avoid pvp and resources/spot competition, help them catch up.
Im fine, we have a different solution and better than turning BDO into an instanced game:

Implement the marni room changes on season servers and olvia server only, new players are happy and get what they need and the game stays open world for the playerbase.

TLDR: BDO is an open world game, Marni room changes will make it empty because grinding becomes instanced all day. Solution: marni room changes for new player only on season servers and olvia.

People that want to play competitive or want to grind over 1h and 6 mins at a time will still be at those spots. 

Everyone else now has a valid chance to grind up. 

Especially newbies, returning adventurers etc. 

Those that want pvp and got the gear for it will still decide to grind there, because the zone is much bigger and better rotations. These are the downsides to grinding in Marni, marni has limited zone, limited rotations etc. 

All you lose out on are:

People that dont want pvp

People that got no gear to stand their ground

People that were trolled and griefed and switched to Lifeskill.

Stop worrying about not beeing able to kill and bully newbies, people have been asking this for years, PA switched more towards PVE, and punishing more toxic players and playerbase increases by 30%. Clearly this id what the game needed.

New players need 1-2 years to be able to stand their ground. Marni is their chance to catch up slowly, while having bad and smaller rotations and can only grind 1h at a time.

Bad players were just killing newbies in their farming spot, preventing them from making progress. Thats why your zones are empty. Only ppl that are and want competitive pvp will show up and fight, most people just surrender their spot without DFS. 

New ppl come, others leave. 

I keep seeing this "duel for spot" being mentioned, yet i've never seen it happen in game.  

"Revert Marni room changes before too late"

Why?  :)

Because the hackers and cheaters are going to love it?

or

Because this change is going to put billions of silver in the pockets of hackers and cheaters?

or

And once they get richer they will buy up all the goods on the market?

or

And this surge of cheater purchases will ruin the market supply and make everything more inflated?

or

All the cheater accounts will be holding the price of rare items hostage?

or

All of the above?

Yeah.... all the above. 

DFS only benefits the person requesting the dual, the person at the current spot has nothing to gain and everything to lose and that loss starts with the wasted time dueling someone who even if they lose is most likely not going to leave.
