Awakening Ninja Change Suggestions

After the last round of buffs, I'm pretty happy with how awakened Ninja plays now, with a couple exceptions. I don't think the class needs any major damage buffs, but some people may disagree because of their server's particular class meta. I'm going to list skill names and the changes I would make to them, in no particular order and with a section for more important changes and less important changes.

--Main suggestions--

Murderous Intent
-Reduce cd to 3s.
-Remove stiffness.
-Add flow skill that applies stiffness on hits to murderous intent. Activates automatically when using Murderous Intent. CD: 5s.
Comments:
This maintains the current standard that Core: MI is too strong of a cc catch skill in 1v1s and the changes help keep that in check, but restores the original cd to allow for movement, repositioning, and a bit more combo flexibility, while putting the cc on a 5s cd.

Vacuum Slash
-Add fg on attack 2-4
-Remove down smash.
-Change skill input to shift + c, retain press F after chain skills to execute slash attack.
Comments:
The current free input of vacuum slash interferes with other skill inputs and causes unintended states of vulnerability. Restoring fg on the skill post cc-attack allows for a full protected damage chain with core serpent, removes an unnecessary gap in both non-core and core serpent damage chains, and allows the skill to remain a balanced cc catch with a gap if you intend to use the first attack for a catch. The down smash is also completely unnecessary for this skill and ruins combos. I'm almost tempted to say the cc on this skill is completely unnecessary, and it would be better spent as exclusively a flow skill for serpent, but there's some application in having an additional float in the awakening kit.

Sura Chaospree
-Add the ability to camera turn or mouse move the forward guard during skill animation.
-Allow the use of ghost step to end the skill early (remove animation lock.)
-Increase attack speed of skill by 15-20% on fast and non-fast cast versions.
Comments:
This skill is easy to exploit in fights that aren't 1v1s. Animation and fg locks are more than an inconvenience to the player. It's also too slow even when using the faster version, as your allies will steal your kills before you can finish cleaning up if you use this skill as the finisher it's intended to be.

Flashing Light
-Add Accuracy +6% on Skill Hit buff.
Comments:
Awakened Ninja is a class that is starved for hit rate on enemy players, especially ones that build evasion stats. It also suffers from an identity crisis. It wants to build evasion, as that is his core defense stat and what is his core defense buff. But due to low accuracy in the kit, it is hard to not build dr and accuracy instead of the intended evasion. Additional accuracy is something the class needs in either build, and forcing the player to use the skill in their combo to get the buff would keep it balanced in a way that it isn't just free damage for throwing a protected skill in the open (aka pre-buffing.)

Corrupt Sword Dance
-Add Evasion +6% on Skill Use buff, stacks with smokescreen.
-Change downsmash to also apply on nito stance last hit.
Comments:
Ninja is a class that suffers from an identity crisis. Because it wants evasion, ap, and accuracy all in one package, but can't build that, and because our evasion buff is actually weaker than other comparable assassin classes (sorc for example), it falls behind in tankiness and damage when building for more defensive stats. Adding an additional evasion buff would make the class more effective in an evasion build when paired with the suggested flashing light change.

Adding the downsmash to nito stance hits allows for more combo variety, is faster than using the base skill, and adds for potential combo resets, which increases class complexity and choice.



--Optional/Niche changes--

Seamless
-Make bound pve only.
-Add down smash on attack 2 hit.
-Increase pvp damage.
-Increase pvp crit rate to 100%.
Comments:
The bound on seamless is completely unnecessary for modern ninja. With the addition of shadow slash and vacuum floats, it's just unneeded.

Adding down smash and restoring pvp damage to this skill would add for more combo complexity, variety, and even increase the skill ceiling with potential for reset combos when paired with another change listed below.

 

Shadow Cloak

-Activates quickly by pressing spacebar during the sheathing animation of Murderous Intent and Shadow Slash, similar to succession's concealment cancels after alert stance or other skills.

-Lower concealment buff timer to 15s when activated through Shadow Cloak.

Comments:

Awakening Ninja has no way to quickly activate stealth outside of using the rabam skill, and that puts you in main hand. Using regular concealment requires hotbar usage, and we already have too many spells to put on hotbar. On the flipside, it also has access to 20s of concealment when activated from that hotbar input, and I think having permanent stealth just for activating the skill that way is too much. For reference, concealment in main hand is a 15s buff with a 20s cd, while concealment from awakening's Shadow Cloak is a 20s buff with a 20s cd. 

 

I know some people are unhappy with awakening Ninja performance in larger scale fights, but adding a protected, high damage spell or more aoe could potentially break the class, and I wouldn't know where to begin with and what to change without breaking it. Currently as it stands, Awakening Ninja is a strong duelist and a well-balanced class that has strengths and weaknesses. It's not the strongest 1v1 class, but it still excels in both duels and small scale encounters, and when played well, can be a menace to even the most meta of classes. I don't think you can make the class more accessible without making it weak or extremely overpowered.

Idk about losing the bound on Seamless. I know it can mess up some combos but the range and the speed of that CC are cool. I'd like to keep it, I hate to have to swap to mainhand for fast CCs. I like it especially because it is a CC you can use from RMB transition Jodan --> Normal stance.

Instead why not adding another way to enter Nito stance? Is it because it switches to Nito that you want it to be used for variety? There's so much to improve about this stance.

I like the other changes you suggest, especially Chaospree, it is so hard to use in this state. Would be cool to let us use other sword-drawing skills from that stance. Like Execution or Murderous intent. It can hardly be called a stance for now, more like a charging animation. At least Drastic measure allows us to Silent charge once, and that's not even a stance.

The awakening ninja when it first came out they made it for PvP, but once the succ came out, they nerfed it and left it only for PvE since they removed all the protections it had. They say that he is very good in 1v1, but he doesn't have any strong attack that is protected.
I say that they return all the protections that they took from him like when he left.
All the characters are protected, except the ninja awakening
