The breaking of crystals upon death is a significant limiting factor for players who may want to try out newer and more challenging PvE content. When you obtain an upgrade, you shouldn't have to worry about it potentially downgrading or breaking while doing PvE content. It's extremely counterintuitive to go and obtain the best-in-slot crystals only for them to break upon death and have to obtain them again.

I'm 730~ gear score but I've barely touched any of the end-game zones due to the fear of my expensive crystals breaking. Some people have suggested that I use a cheaper set of crystals to try out the end-game zones but the efficiency and the overall feeling isn't the same.

The other issues that relate to the breaking of crystals are lag, disconnects and crashes. The connection to the server isn't exactly the most stable and players will often experience lag spikes or disconnects during their gameplay. Crashing is also a very frequent occurrence in this game and it's an issue that has plagued the game since its launch. Players have no control of these issues and it is up to the developer to ensure that players have a as smooth and enjoyable experience as possible.

100% agree with this post. Especially now that the crystals are 1b+ and the most rare one is 5b, i'm feeling like i need the crystals to survive and grind spots better and nicer but at the same time dont feel comfortable running into a zone with a crystal loadout of ~10b silver. In the past 3 weeks of this event i've heard of so many nice stories, people discovering whats possible and what they can still aim for which gives them a drive to get the better gear.

With crystal prices at 2-5bil, and with Dehkia ASH Forest with 235 mobs on my back at any one time, it makes a lot of sense for crystals NOT to break.

Yes please!

Some of these crystals are simply very difficult to replace, so please make the event permanent. Worrying about crystals isn't fun!
