There's no reason a 5 billion silver rare crystal should be breakable. AT MINIMUM this specific crystal needs to be unbreakable. At any rate until the dev starts listening to players my wallet is closed and I suggest others do the same, they only listen when their bottom line is hurt. Trying to keep this archaic system from years ago doesn't work now that crystals are worth billions lol
Just died right now because of a disconnection from my internet provider. 15 minutes of pure despair... Imagine grinding an entire hour, having a dc in the last minute of the grind and losing 5h+ hours of grinding cuz you had being forcefully disconnected. Not funny at all. Got stressed out. I play to have fun... to feel relaxed and I love bdo cuz only looking at the screen and seeing some beautiful graphics help me with it.
Please... make this change for all who loves bdo.

I agree with Crystal Breaking being a poor punishment mechanic. The goal of new regions is to have players experience all of the work the developers put into making this game.
Having your Crystals break is just an unnecessary punishment. It is a deterrent for mid game players to try new spots, as even 2 billion is hours of grinding. Likewise, end game players now have to decide if they want to risk crystals to go to a new area. Of course you have your top 2% of players that play (actively and grinding) 8+ hours a day, and will be present in the new areas regardless, but those are a small fraction of the true player base.
On the other hand, there is an argument of "death would not feel punishing" if there was no risk. But, who does this appeal too? There is a substantially smaller group of people that enjoy this mechanic than those that don't. With the change in how people play games, and the culture of players bouncing between games (and the seamlessly unlimited amount of games), unnecessary punishing mechanics should be avoided. We already lose exp on death, why should we now have to worry about Crystals breaking? The same for any of the punishing death mechanics and the Karma system in general, but that's another topic.
In the current, most recent update, there is no real change and a guise of a Band-Aid on this issue. Being able to restore 3 Crystals per year, without having to go through support, is not an improvement. Sure, people will appreciate the convenience, but that newness will soon wear off as the system is still broken.

This is why I've resorted to ripping out all of my good crystals for PvE once I hit the 0/3 crystal restore. I don't want to be punished for having a power outage and losing crystals worth billions (or even half of that) because of real life randomness.
