As a new player to mid/late game. I agree.
I actually tried some zones for the first time in years because of this event.
Removing crystal anxiety is a NEED. It encourages players to push their limits and explore new zones and have fun exploring zones that would be too dangerous otherwise.
I've logged in 3 times today intending to farm, just to look at my character and log back off. 4bil crystal + month preorder time is not worth it. And since it's not worth my time, I don't put any time into the game. /sigh
With today's update, the free exploration of the game and it's content comes to a end. This event will be sorely missed.

i already broke 3 cristals 1 bil each because i got disconnected from the game and lovley pearl abyss kept me in game, that's speechless. pearl abys should be the one who help us progress now keep us behind
There should be some form of 100% crystal protection. I'm not sure I like the VP method but a silver-buyable "insurance" item would be nice. It could break instead of the crystals as you've suggested or it could expire like the villa invitations.

Put in a ticket, they will refund your crystal. They say they only do this 2 times a year, but the day they stop refunding my crystals is the day I find a new game I think. The regression mechanics' they have in this game when combined is too much.
Also, make it where your accessories don't downgrade if you fail on cron attempts.
Lets remove every single consequence from choices made in the game that exists.
Then change the name to Sunshine and Rainbows Online.

If they took away crystal breakage we would still lose exp on death + our elixirs + the time it takes to walk from spawn back to your rota.
Crystal breakage adds nothing gameplay wise. You can't sit there and tell me that you're happy that you have a chance to lose multiple hours of grinding upon death. That doesn't bring any thrill, only soul crushing dread. Crystal breakage discourages people from trying out higher end and harder content. You could argue to "just use cheaper crystals bro" but then that means you have to be even MORE geared to try out these places in the first place.
Enhancing at least adds thrill as you could potentially get something for way under its value. However, in a game riddled with performance issues (I say this as someone with a great computer.) Dying setting you back several hours is trash. Albion has full loot pvp and some how dying there is less punishing then dying on this game.
A million likes to this. I love the idea of implementing insurance protection for our crystals into the value packs or secret old moon books. They should have never had this mechanic in the first place though, I've had hardware errors for my pc; random freezes happening at the best time when I'm out there grinding, or random disconnections from the server, and my crystals weren't protected when either happened. It's a mood breaker when you're out there grinding knowing you can't do anything to prevent it except not risk those crystals which a lot of people do when they're out there grinding the harder endzones.
The crystal market would be fine too. Look at artifacts, for example, they have expensive light stones they won't break if your character falls in combat, and yet the price for them is in the billions because they're rare to get.
