Lot of horrible replies. Different strokes for different folks. Not everyone should like something.
For example for me I find games like Skyrim/Morrowind enjoyable lore wise. (at least for majority).
This game has too many silly cute creatures turtles/rabbits and in every text line there is something like "ghee ghee". This goes in same bracket with final fantasy/anime. I just can't take it seriously.
I have another point. 99% of time you spend time grinding/arena etc.. Devs could improve gameplay/balance/zones but instead they spend all their time to create content that people hardly ever do.
I can bet that less than 1% of population will do loml again on alt. Hypocrisy here is unreal.
Here is the video of Lazy peon he is the like only one famous youtuber who covers BDO.

He is still simply a youtuber. He may look famous to you, but he's still some random player and you need to care about his opinion to watch his video.
I talked about him because you mentioned him, but that's true with any youtuber / streamer / whatever : their only value lies in the eyes of the watcher.

1% or not, devs did it and players appreciated it.
As the topic is about lotml being a "horrible experience", the answer is no.
Will we make it again? Not necessarily. Probably not the main quest as it doesn't bring much money, but I'll probably do the boss rush on a regular basis.
The same goes for grind, in this case : one of the main thing that makes it enjoyable is the moneyzzzz. Boss rush is pve only, so it's only logical to restrict it, one way or another, but it makes some players look at it as "not interesting". That's only their opinion.
I've done the Eternal Winter from start to finish, without skipping anything (no 'R' smashing). Then I've did it a second time over, with a few skips. Coming from the Lineage series - I enjoy the lore and RP overall.
As for LoML's story - it got me engaged somewhere from the middle to it's end; I did have smashed 'R' whenever it was possible at the begining. I have personally enjoyed it much less than the Eternal Winter as there was no side-fights/mobs and A LOT of the bs running around (I rarely use horse lol) a huge distances. The story bosses were not even a challenge, the Tiger has managed to dmg my season char for 1/3 HP overall and that was the hardest fight of them all.
IMHO - LoML is way too far-stretched without any breather (side-content like field mobs) between quests; it should not be available as a starting point for any new Players but should have been made accessible after the Mediah MSQ.
As a side note I can say that LoML is one of the best-looking areas in the BDO world, if not The Best so far. Huge props for that !

i give advantage to chris poli and anders
At least you folks have to admit that there was literally no real gameplay. It was like movie simulator. You were inside some weaboo fantasy. YAYAAYAAA.
Also if you don't repeat it on alt then why waste 6 months development time on it. We play for replayability.
