Some Infinite Potion Spots feel way worse than others drop rate-wise

Heyo, I am not a new player yet returning and have noticed how the game has improved over the years QoL-Wise and that content has been filling-in the game in a consistent pace, which is wodnerful to notice.

However I also have seen that there is a focus on grinding first and foremost the infintite potions' pieces,

I love how a lot of feedback has been taken into consideration from back in the day and now this has come to my line of sight,

while grinding for those I noticed how certain spots have a higher drop rate than others due to many factors and I figured it does not feel fun to grind for them, rather it feels like a chore, not because grinding is a chore by itself but more like because there is an excessive ammount of time needed to obtain those pieces from any of the spots, resulting in a burnout as expected,

I am sure other players have experienced this too as it feels like if we do not go for those pieces we waste our time and yet the game as a core element has a freedom to play the way we want, yet this activity while optional it feels like a mandatory activity for obvious reasons, the pots are needed to eliviate wasting time later, this generally goes against the game's core philosophy of "playing the way we want",

obviously even with all the buffs I was unable to get a single pity piece for the potions in certain areas within an hour's worth of grind which of course led to a burnout, as someone who likes grinding and listening to podcasts or similar, this was a surprise to me to be burnt out that easily, considering I do a variety of things in the game and I am not top-dog efficient, it still was the case.

Now this is purely feedback and it should be seen as such for it is my subjective experience with the game.

As for the community, please comment below what would feel like a good rate of obtaining the items as to make it feel not like a waste of time and more like fun because for a game it ise important to have short and long term goals, the game is good at setting long-term goals however that sets people up for easy burnouts.

To put it into perspective, I feel like it is a distinct difference between shorts and long videos, in this case bdo feels more like long videos times 2 or even times 4 at times.

I've made my pots recently and it wasn't that bad, the only piece I had to craft of pities was ronaros. Both wolf people and Shrek people pieces I've got while having collected roughly 40-50 pity pieces each.

The resource pot got easier tshira and mansh 20ish pities each, valtara took about 50ish before I got the drop(1.8 mastery and +30% gathering Dr buffs

I've had a very hard time at Tshira. At first it was okay but now it seems I get only one pitty per 10k mobs. Only know that because I've been doing the guild event solo. No real problem with any other spot, even the hp pot. Perhaps it's better after this maintenance? Who knows, haven't logged on yet to try but it certainly is dehartening. Three to five an hour is about right from my experience.

I could not disagree more. I am working on my inf potions right now and I have not met the issue of some of the grind being longer/harder.

Every single inf potion spot is a good spot with pretty identical hourly rates and decent silver. Wolves area is so large and packed to the brim, you have so many option there. Necropolis is absolutely packed with monsters and as wolves, they are all very close by. Also decent silver per hour. Then there's Ronaro's where it's so packed you dont even get a breathing room. Also very decent silver per hour. This covers the HP pot.

When it  comes to Shamans I'd agree it's little more scarse but nothing too major, sadly there is only 1 or 2 main rotations and it has so many obstacles that get in the way but overall, still a very decent spot. Ive been to Tsihara only for an hour but again... just monsters everywhere on top of each other. Idk about silver per hour but only issue with the spot is again like Shamans, so many obstacles. And then there's the birds... just hit the big blue one and others will automatically attack you. I did only 1 hr there and got 7 pity pieces. Out of all spots the one with birds (gathering with knife) is the most chill and I hate lifeskilling in general.

"Feel" is doing a lot of work in your title/post.

Navarn piece used to be the worst of them until they simplified the weekly and increased the drop rate. Unfortunately, I had already gotten all the pities there before then.

The other spots, I did the weekly and got between 3-5 pities from mobs while doing it. There didn't seem to be a difference.  Ronaros was the only place that dropped the full piece when I was at 50 pities.

The only time I went grinding outside of the weekly was when Sherekhan was the only piece left and we had a treasure event, so I went to Protty Cave for several hours.

So if you think there is a difference between spots, first of all, name the spots, and second, track your drops/hours there.  That way you have a small amount of data to base your feelings on.

But if you do feel you are burning out, slow down. It's a bit of a long-term project.
