G'day there.
Given the scope of the change to seasons, i'm a little disappointed in the change management and communications strategy being used by PA.
The Summer season has been extended from end July to end August and now is end December.
The notice providing warning of the changes to season does little except cause concern among players. It hints that even the definition of a season will be revised and a season will be an ongoing 'boot camp' type experience from which you graduate when you want. (IMHO, a great improvement to the game.)
But, given the scope and impact of this change, please PA, can you quickly provide more details on how this will all work and when it will be implemented?
I have like 7 characters for free on 61 because of Fugar Timepieces.
New players have fun leveling your alts.................
PA just makes it harder for new players
So we're skipping over Fall Season seasonal event or whatever you want to call it. This a very bad idea.
I'm taking a guess at this based on the way i read it. You will be able to start a season character when this starts as long as you don't currently have ones. Thre season pass and fughars time piece will stay the same. The difference is that you be able to start all over again after you graduate from the server. The reason for doing it this way is that seasons are very popular and people spend money on new Characters. This move will likely generate a ton of revenue. It won't take long and everyone will be at the max number of characters.
I had a feeling this would happen. I know tons of players that only play on season and immediately quit the game when season ends. Steam online charts proves this. A lot of season-only players hate regulary servers. Either because of pvp or some other reason.
Devs probably saw the repeated drop off. I expect this season to go on forever or PA will only make 1 season a year now.
I just hope I will be able to get more free 62+ characters in the future.

How do they actually play, then? They are limited in gear in many ways, shutting them out of quite a bit of the game's higher levels of play. Higher than entry level, anyway. Unless some of that is changed too. Maybe already underway in things like AoS.
I have been using seasons to try each class. When timepiece was introduced it accelerated that. Just five more to go, and now - ? Big unknown.

I don't know. Im sure you can get over 250 ap in season using books and stuff. So Im assuming you would only be locked out of parts of Ody, and Eilton.
You know what I hate about these forums? Well, one of the things: can start typing a response, and then have the authentication session expire (which is way too short) while typing, then it won't even let you copy what you started so that you can paste it in after the re-auth. Which of course wipes out what you were doing.
Off topic? Too bad. So's that bug.
Anyway: yeah, can grind to intermediate levels, very limited on gear choice, can't equip lifeskill mastery gear. Recent crystal and artifact/lightstone changes help a lot. I suppose they just sort of grind away at somewhat decent rates until they build up enough of a bank account to 'graduate' into some higher GS? Is that how it works? Or does high end not matter? Most of Elvia, Ash, Gyfin, Crypt, Oluns, Turos, Jade, Murrowak. Some of the Valencia locations aren't going to be very comfortable. And Dehkia is out of the question of course. How does gear affect high end black shrine bosses? Maybe all of that just doesn't matter. Which is ok. Just a different way to play, I guess. Actually kind of interesting to think about.
We have to see after the maintance but if the seasons are that long most of the new players will need abaut 3 years to get their free capotia accs think abaut that
Season should not have a different loot drop rate than regular servers. This is 90% of the problem with "perpetual season play"
