new player here try BDO for the first time. ive been enjoying the game so far untill i came acrossed something called FAILSTACKING WTF!!

I completely lost any desire to keep playing the game. this is ridiculous, it makes no damm sense at all. well, it was fun while it last.

Its good you stopped early, it only gets worse.

OP spend  ~15mins to create new acount to make  a thread ? Pls, for new player to get into failstack system you need to finish season at least.

Marketplace will lead you to nearly endgame gear. Maybe only for the really last steps may you need to enhance by yourself and you'd already be highly geared at that time.

Still, you'll need some serious dedication to get there, be it through marketplace or enhancement. 

Just saying, for the other players who may come across this topic. 

The problem with Failstacking isn't that it works like the Game tells you it works

The problem with Failstacking is that it doesn't work at all like anyone here would have you believe it works.

The excuses is always: "it's fine, you just need a bigger sample size".  This is them changing the Topic and committing plea to authority fallacy. They fundamentally DO NOT understand the underlying psychological manipulation this design is intended to inflict however or the raw computer science implifcations its hiding.

A better system would have just been straight up StreakBreak features like BaldursGate 3 included for its dice rolls. ...that way those of us with super old account seeds wouldn't still be getting d***ed by Attempts that claim they're a 5% success rate that ACTUALLY can go to 40 fails in a row and still be considered "following the probabilities of RNG".

The fact that the Devs added in "pity pieces" for infinite-Pot demonstrates that they understand why this concept is superior to their jimmyrigged failstacks "feature" but doing so would make their entire business model way too difficult to prop up with the usual low effort bandaids they keep extending its warranty with

I also did rage-quit BDO.. twice. Once because of casino style upgrade system. And then bacause of inventory mess overflow.

But here I am still playing. I found my BDO playstyle.. 33% grinding, 33% lifeskill (hunting) and 33% exploring/questing. My top gear is still Tuvala.. Still having fun.

If I need better gear I'll just buy it..

It literally takes less than that to see why its garbage. And OP is not emotionally invested in the game at all and calls it as it is. 
Say it with me now : ENHANCING IS GARBAGE. 

There should be pity system like in Lost ark. Imagine wasting 100 bilions on enchancing black star to pen and still not get it. Enchancing system only exist for desperate ppl and whales to melt skins for crons. 

PA should not be this greedy, I spent fortune just for weight for plenty of my chars and tent and pets, thats should be enough. Pa should wake up and abandon this P2W mark. 

The game is so heavily overpriced anyway, imagine spent 60 euro for only like 600 weight limit for only one character, meanwhile you can just buy another AAA game. 

Failstacks are an ancient relic of the past. They used to be cool as they was a bug originally and made into a feature however today they are mandatory and making them is one of the most unfun and tedious activity in the game. It also scares people from using the enhancment system and they should be reworked.
