I've been playing BDO just over 3 years and I remember the first week of playing like this:

I'm more of a lifeskiller and happily chopping away at some trees near Veila and BAM some player comes and kills me.  I'm like "what the hell just happened?!", I was just minding my own business.  Later on I was afk fishing on the coast of veila for a quest and when I came back I had been killed by a player.

Luckily I realised this is just how the game is played by some players and I am now very cautious where I afk or am out and about.

I might not PVP or have the best gear but I still love the game and it's a great way to socialise with my guild who consists of my husband, parents-in-law and brother/sister-in-laws.
