Hello, to give everyone some context, today's GLabs patch introduced these changes to the spot:

Going from these changes we can tell they have slightly nerfed the trash you could acquire on most mobs, they nerfed the spawn rate in Marni Realm and most importantly, they eliminated the possibility to do two rifts/flags. From testing in GLabs the moment you go out of flag range, mobs despawn.
This of course means you will be stuck with a single rift and that means a significant drop in the amount of trash you can get from the spot, effectively making it much worse than competing spots for the gear needed like Gyfin Underground, Primal Giant Post and even lower end spots like Kratuga.
I think these changes are terrible and will have a cascading effect where more people will be swarming the already popular spots, two things they could consider instead are:
- Fixing rift distance so it always comes in pairs and letting players grind them like that, effectively accomodating more people in the spot as a whole and having us face just the slight trash decrease.
- Ditching double rifts altogether and making waves spawn faster for single rifts. Waves should also spawn while supply events happen or these events should occur much faster, they have an awful amount of dead time and that's precisely why people started looking at two rifts rotations.
I'd like to hear people's thoughts on these, hopefully they don't kill this spot and we can keep variety going.
So I did some testing to see what exactly we'll end up with and these are the results:
With a yellow scroll no agris this is what we're currently getting:
2 flags rotation (main rotation) - up to 45k trash loot
2 flags alternate rotation - up to 39k trash loot
marni 1 flag - up to 33k trash loot
1 flag - up to 28k trash loot
As one can see the difference between an optimal 2 flag rotation and 1 flag rotation is huge. What PA is essentialy doing is removing all the 2 flag rotations and also nerfing marni, all that while decreasing the trash loot by roughly 15%. So the 28k isn't even gonna be possible now. I'm expecting to see at most 24-25k tl from people who grind this spot after the upcoming nerf which leaves the spot in a worse state than it was before 2 recent buffs.
This might be one of the biggest nerfs they ever did (apart from saunils) and it's very surprising why they'd do that considering that giants bring in similar income and are left untouched, not to even mention dehkia thornwood which is obscenely broken right now.
They should keep the same number of trash as before and only remove the possibility of making two rifts/flags
That way players will go to all Rhutums spots, not just one.
Looks like nothing nice is waiting at end game which i could be like in year, not much reason to try hard to get there. I yet to see anything good about the very end game.
Agreed. Like with Saunils, PA is overnerfing a fun spot into irrelevance. Meanwhile, braindead Centaurs still outperforms much harder spots.
At the very least there is zero reason to nerf trash drops from 2-5 to 2-4 if you're nerfing double portal! Talk about overkill.
I agree that the only-one-good-spot issue needs to be solved, but I believe making all rifts double-farmable is a bad solution, as it reduces the total amount of spots. Two-rift farm also makes Rhutums overly powerful compared to similar AP spots.
Thus, I would be happy if they:
- slightly increased the respawn timer to reduce the waiting time for mobs (I am not overpowered for the spot at all and I still have to wait)
- allow only one flag to be farmable (to reduce the insane numbers at the spot that overpowered players are able to make here compared to higher AP spots)
- keep the current trash amounts, as it keeps the spot attractive (on par with Orcs, which should be the case considering AP levels for the spots)
These changes should achieve what PA is probably aiming for without nerfing the place back to oblivion.

Yes, I think this is the right solution. Get rid of double portal, keep trash as-is, up spawn rate of single portal. The spot has similar requirements as Orcs and the Rhutums actually hit a bit harder so no reason it shouldn't be competitive with orcs money wise.
Some of us get bored grinding the same spots all the time, when a spot like Rhutums becomes competitive it's exciting because it feels like new content. Overnerfing spots because the highest geared players on the best classes can abuse them does a disservice to all the other players.
These nerfs certainly seem too harsh. I also like the idea of faster respawn rate on single flag and retaining the trash as it is now.
