So, I noticed that the more recent characters have the ability to use their class-specific evasion ability with Shift+↑ but certain older characters like Wizard and Witch (and some others) will just sprint forward if you input Shift+↑ (the same sprint as when you have your weapon sheathed, but uses more stamina)...
For those characters to evade forward, you have to input ↑+↑.
When you have been using Shift+↓ or → or ← the entire time to dodge in every other direction (and your 3 main characters can dodge forward with Shift+↑) and you have to suddenly remember to change your input if you want to perform the same move in the forward direction, otherwise your Wizard just starts running face first into the enemy. The sheer number of times that muscle memory got me killed.
Why is there such inconsistency between different characters to perform the same move?! I could understand if maybe Shift+↑ had a different function on Wizard/Witch but that is not the case. Shift+↑ does nothing on those characters, they just run forward! There is no unique skill bound to that command... So why can't we use it to evade forward? Atleast give us the option to bind combinations of keys in the settings so we can do it ourselves. If you try bind Shift+W to Forward Evasion (WW) in the settings, it registers only the first key that you press.

Bind Evasion(WW) to MMB (middle mouse button), then you can use macigal evasion forwards.
Being able to sprint while having weapons out is a good on casters!

I would say that Sage, Maegu and Woosa are also casters and do just fine being able evade forward with Shift+↑.
Besides, you don't have to hold down Shift the entire time to sprint. If you just keep holding W after the initial evasion (and release Shift), most characters will automatically begin sprinting anyways (with exceptions like Valkyrie's Shift+↑ which puts her in Guard Stance etc. which as I mentioned is fine with me since the input has a special dedicated move for those characters).
Side note: I think wizard should have the same ability to endlessly teleport like sage, woosa, maegu and sorc with reduced range/ increased stamina when used during cooldown, and just have the teleport replace his evasion. But that's a discussion for another day as to why out of all magic wielders, Wizard is the one with the lamest dodge/teleport.
