Actually no, DFS and dealing with overgrinders was just another thing the community developed from the tools we had at our disposal. The community came up with DFS. Which is also a "personal grievance". No one knows why PA really made single sided decs, probably to just encourage more PvP because the game was originally about PvP, sure wasn't PvE because for years all we had was running in circles grinding basic mobs.

Now after all these years they are taking away something we got heavily used to and became integral to what BDO is. People are legit gonna quit over this, and we don't need more decline.

They should improve on BDO's strengths, not try to be like other PVE games. It's not gonna pan out. BDO is legit carried by it's niche. If they were gonna do all this, they should of came up with a new system everyone would like, but their thought was just clip something out and hope it pans out with bringing more from one crowd (PvE players).

AND I'm not saying they shouldn't improve the PvE, definitely not what I'm saying at all, but you don't gotta take away from one group to give to another.

More declines?  The population is at its peak.  

Its litterally not though. We have the FoTM game rerollers are gone since the streamers have bailed, or are slowing petering off. I highly doubt we were even close to our all time high as far as player count when we had the largest surge from the wave of players coming in. Running off your vets to try and appeal to people who notoriously swap MMOs almost monthly isn't a great longterm strat, but honestly coming from you I don't expect a ton of higher thinking.

I think they are doing this to reduce the bullying to new players and help keep them in the game.  We shall see.  I don't mind some population loss if it's the serial harasser's who leaves

Peak? Would love for you to show me that stat. We are no where near our peak. The only open source of population stats we have is Steam charts. Would love for you to show me the peak on that. Steam averaged 25k in July, we are averaging 17k in the last 30 days, which was 20k the week before patch. The highest average count on steam was about 27k, and max peak of about 60k.

Unfortunately I have to agree.

There is no unilateral metric that we can use to justify any numbers in BDO. 

That goes for those that say we are at our peak or those that say we are declining we can say some facts based on spending and financial statements of PA. 

The main issue with financial quarterly reports is it is showing that PA is spending a significant amount of money on game development. Specifically there 3 main projects DokeV, crimson desert and plan 8 all of which is a money dump until it goes live.

What we can say is that Black Desert regardless of anyone's nay saying is racking in massive amounts of money and that no matter what any of us say they are continuing to do so.

Players and veterans are supporting the game. You won't be able to stop it what so ever and that is a fact.

900 to 4k players is significant in regards to the response we got in these forums but again that is like 1% of the over all population of Black Desert world wide. Even if we can get there attention the reality is we are just a squeaky wheel and what gifts can they give to make a majority of the 4k be silent.. 200 fs 300fs, free pen accessory I mean think about it.

Edit: Think it was just PA being nice re setting time rewards In game? OR was this well thought out and orchestrated so those of us veterans with 40- 50k hours got several 150 fs 100's , 200 fs, 9k cron, VIP and so on... NOW that said howany of you logged on and started burning them up. AND how many of you are still mad today.?!?!?!?!!?

I don't think people are mad anymore but will mostly develop apathy towards whatever PA does over time. They will continue doing what they want to do in the game, but they will also not be hesitant to quit when their friends stops playing or some other determining factor occurs. PA did not lose player counts with the change; they simply lost the loyalty of the people who were emotionally invested in the game. 

None of this matters in the grand scheme of things though.
