I'm having a good laugh at everyone complaining that this change is going to kill PvP. It's only going to kill PvP for the players that hunt lowbies, so the greifers.
Theirs nothing preventing you from PvP, you are preventing yourself from PvP because you want things easy for you it seems "I can't farm this low geared player in a grind zone that I'm heavily over geared for PvP is dead" is basically all I see.
if some lost karma turns you off of the game than BDO isn't for you.

This change is literally going to encourage griefing. It's going to be hilarious when guilds and plats just go around the world taking over spots from people grinding there, forcing them into either marni or off the server. Indiscriminate griefing.

So you want me to lose money, crystals, etc have to go red to DEAL with griefers? That seems a bit backwards
I've been doing it for years it's not hard, you put on burner gems and go red and than just grind.
I don't see the trouble people are having with it, if a Shai can do it without trouble I'm sure any other class should have more than an easier time.
You don't lose any worthwhile crystals with burner gems, and who cares about going red if your not losing gems that mean anything?
Also when you out gear them you can just murder them like a normal mob, it's happened at Mirumok plenty of times when tuvala people roll up.

This will hurt both PvE & PvP players while only benefitting griefers! Marni's system already solve the PvE'ers not PvP'ing issue but this change REMOVES any way to stop griefers. If people want to grind without grief or want to PvP, this kills it for them. The current dec system allows for PvP guilds to PvP as those not ready cant be dec'd on. People can ALREADY step away from GvGs, with marnis added only griefers and those to be griefed are left.
Adding marnis realms might already fix the issue of "not enough grind spots" but raises the issue for when spots are still full, if a spot doesnt have Marnis and destroys open world PvP. How am I supposed to combat this new system if spots are full? The new GvG change limits the players options to contest a grind spot to the following:
- Ask for Duel for Spots, which they might not abide by
- Switch servers which i can do instantly 3 times, and with a 5min CD from then on... Could still be full like it commonly can be
- Flag and feed people to mobs, RIP 5B crystals.
- Grind over them, ruining the time, buffs, & experience of both players hoping to bait them to flagging so you can force them to go red
- Deciding not to grind or play the game...
None of these are ideal and even some shunned by Pearl Abyss and many players.
"Guild not ready for war" is already a system in place for guilds not ready to PvP. if you own a node from nodewars or have a dec live already you've decided you're ready for war. WHY are we making this worse?
With the old GvG system it allowed for guilds to fight over limited resources aka grind spots. It was how the game was designed and we've since drifted away from this, while I respect trying to allow those who do not wish to PvP to have to, you've hurt the game in many aspects and put a large hole in the open world PvP scene. If you want to help this issue you need to create middleground solutions. I'll list those in a different post or below in the comments as the focus on this post is to take the system back to the drawing board or thrown away.
This is the most rigged upvote thread i ever seen. u have 4k vote thread to prevent griefers who i hadn't encounter in the past 6 months? i thought i was about to read a meaningful deep thoughts explaning the rejection of the new war declare system
You telling me a 100 one-sided guild occur daily because of griefers? are u ok?
IF griefers want to grief he will without being in a guild, he can get protection mode from guild officers. the current system is not the best. but if i had to choose griefers or bullys. I would definitly choose griefers instad.
we have a one-side war declare from a siege guild for 2 years. the gm want our gm name..because its unique special name. is that a griefer or bully to you?
we should have those changes since beginning. if u encounter griefer IF THAT HAPPEN which i doubt because no one will be stupid enough to grief if he want to get gain and get gear. even after changes implemented u still can feed to mobs until you will be 50k karma away from being negative. then swap channel, swap spot. on top all that you will have perma marni realm
A 100 ONE-SIDED GUILD because of griefers? what.... HUH ... it is 100 EGO GEAR CHECK
You in corrupt. a siege guild. you last person should talk about griefers. go arsha. IF you cant beat Cho. stay in marni, swap channel or spots.
How about this.. give us small clip showing war declaration stats in corrupt. lets see how many one sided guild corrupt have against the "griefers"

They could make 1 sided guild war active 1-2 hours with like a 24h cd to war dec that guild and remove only one sided perma guild wars
Or, you know, they could just leave it the same. I know, wild idea, but it's been that way for years. Any changes like that could just lead to the dec'd guild waiting for that dec to drop after the allotted time and just perma griefing after it's over for 24 hrs.
