Please do NOT  release the GvG changes described in this post: https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/News/Detail?groupContentNo=5897&countryType=en-US

This will hurt both PvE & PvP players while only benefitting griefers! Marni's system already solve the PvE'ers not PvP'ing issue but this change REMOVES  any way to stop griefers. If people want to grind without grief or want to PvP, this kills it for them. The current dec system allows for PvP guilds to PvP as those not ready cant be dec'd on. People can ALREADY step away from GvGs, with marnis added only griefers and those to be griefed are left.

Adding marnis realms might already fix the issue of "not enough grind spots" but raises the issue for when spots are still full, if a spot doesnt have Marnis and destroys open world PvP. How am I supposed to combat this new system if spots are full? The new GvG change limits the players options to contest a grind spot to the following:
- Ask for Duel for Spots, which they might not abide by
- Switch servers which i can do instantly 3 times, and with a 5min CD from then on... Could still be full like it commonly can be
- Flag and feed people to mobs, RIP 5B crystals.
- Grind over them, ruining the time, buffs, & experience of both players hoping to bait them to flagging so you can force them to go red
- Deciding not to grind or play the game...

None of these are ideal and even some shunned by Pearl Abyss and many players.

"Guild not ready for war" is already a system in place for guilds not ready to PvP. if you own a node from nodewars or have a dec live already you've decided you're ready for war. WHY are we making this worse?

With the old GvG system it allowed for guilds to fight over limited resources aka grind spots. It was how the game was designed and we've since drifted away from this, while I respect trying to allow those who do not wish to PvP to have to, you've hurt the game in many aspects and put a large hole in the open world PvP scene. If you want to help this issue you need to create middleground solutions. I'll list those in a different post or below in the comments as the focus on this post is to take the system back to the drawing board or thrown away.

Yeah don't implement this, there's already protection for "peaceful" guilds against warring guilds, plus protection for individual members.  If a player really doesn't want to PvP there's nothing forcing them to.

Let us declare war on clowns who are griefing, typing, etc. without asking them if we're allowed to farm them first.

PA is using this as an excuse to implement the change here in NA.

In NA, there are currently around 100 cases of one-sided wars occurring daily, which corresponds to an annual average of around 37K cases.
In EU, there are currently around 120 cases of one-sided wars occurring daily, which corresponds to an annual average of around 44K cases.
These stats mean nothing; how many of those GVG's were one sided dec to grief somebody, as PA is suggesting? How many of those decs were because somebody started griefing your rotation? How many of them are mutual gvg's that the other guild could not dec back because of the 6-slot limitation?

100% agree.

Player agency to resolve a conflict over limited open world resources is the core of BDO. It's the engine driving all of the fun, it's the spice that makes every day interesting. I do not want half of the player base to disappear into marni realms and the remaining players irritatingly grinding over another player at a spot until the one person leaves, swaps, or goes into marni. I want to resolve conflict myself by removing the player from the area.

A person running into my resources and stealing them needs to be stopped. With one sided decs removed, I can't stop them. I have 2-3 kills I can enact on them, where they can respawn and come back in seconds, and then I am family-limited on my karma and have no recourse. I then just watch the other person stealing all of my silver and time and the person who wants to waste more time splitting a PvE area wins.

There is already protection, as has been said, for warring guilds against peaceful guilds. In fact, in my years of playing I have seen only a single one sided dec for the purpose of trying to shove someone off of a rotation. Guess what? They lost and had to leave and the interaction was fun for my guild mate who was dec'd on. He got to have some fun kills while grinding with no consequence to his karma and got a fun story.

You listed a stat of one-sided decs -- a bit over a hundred one sided wars a day -- but you have the cause of them backwards. One sided decs STOP karma bombers and griefers, they don't enable griefing. You are removing the agency of players in over a hundred situations a day that need that system to protect their rotation.

The griefer never wants PvP, so taking away the ability of the griefed to PvP against the griefer empowers griefers.

This is actually going to kill the game, don't make the changes live.

I personally don't see a problem with it. It's literally no different than if a guild you dec on has protected players, if those protected players go into your rot, your still losing karma.

People making the excuse "I can only get 3 kills before I go red" well than swap to some burner gems and go -1mill on them and grind the karma back as you grind, I will legit be farming Elvia Rhutums and will go -1mill and just keep grinding they eventually leave.

Personally alot of the people complaining about this change are griefers themselves, they can't just Dec on a guild of lowbies and farm them now.

As someone who started this game as a lifeskiller and had dealt with an untold amount of greifers over 7 years and was below 600gs until 2021 I can tell you that people abuse the current PvP system to run people off of servers and the entire game.

I for one am looking forward to the change.

classic PA pulling stats that has no meaning. if guild don't want pvp, then don't be a pvp guild. this change only promotes griefing.
