Me posting this fully aware that

- The 17 grab classes will be against this.

- I'm going to get slaughtered for it being a dark knight POV.

- Nothing has been done about this before and nothing will be done in the future.

i dont see a single reason dk should get a grab. i see a few reasons for some mobile/oppressive classes to lose it, maybe, but adding MORE grabs to cancer mobile protected classes - no thnx.

Remove block classes from the game. How dare they come in the way of rat classes and their kills. 

Make rat classes op. Give them grabs and give them big damages with block break.

Are you aware that the meta rat classes actually do have grab?

Grab classes gonna seethe at this one because they can't step outside themselves for 5 seconds. Here, I'll do it first to set an example. 

DK should never get a grab. Dusk and smokey haze are very good, very quick and fluid micro-positioning tools that would make grabbing someone so easy a toddler could do it. It would be a massive crutch

Grab is an issue due to the fact many classes are overprotected.

Since few years now, Pearl Abyss has been giving to new classes many Super Armor and Iframe and sadly, in order to counter those classes, they gave way too much grab. They also gave, to some classes ranged grab, Lahn, Sage, Hashashin & Nova and that's, imo, a mistake.
They also gave to some classes, specific fail animations, so if you fail you grab, you're in Iframe or can directly cancel the animation.

Grab shouldn't count has 2 CC points, because it would be impossible to grab classes to kill very specific classes running full DR or Evasion. But, they need to rework some class in order to remove range grab, fail animation iframe / cancel. And for sure, make some class more vulnerable.

Issues with grabs and not infinite cc combos due to slows affecting downed states and down smashes being off the cc cap. Interesting...


I would suggest this matters because it allows certain classes to grab you with the 2 cc count and yet bypass the 5s cc protection making it all stupidly pointless.

Funnily mainly the grab classes are the ones who are overprotected. IDK what new classes are you refering to, both woosa and magu are ccable, in fact they can be cc'd much easier than a grab class who got FGSA or perma SA. Sage is overtuned rn, but not cause his grab, in fact neither of the 4 you listed is broken cause their grab, but cause their overtuned damage which allows them to build hard on eva and still combo ppl. Altrough they are still much more easily killeable (after you get your half trillion worth of accuracy swap) than warrior/zerk/valk/striker etc. as they can literately just sit in perma protection untill there is a grab ready.

Its not an issue with Grabs, its an issue with PA giving everyone perma protected rotations.

PA nerfed grabs earlier because the expectation was to remove the completely protected rotations of super armor and iframe but they didnt do it, and to this day there are classes that are fully protected all the time.

This would not only make ranged classes the complete and undisputed champions of DPS, but it would also make fully protected classes and anyone who needs a crutch like evasion the best in the game.

Absolutely NO to this suggesstion.

Exactly right. Grabs should punish turtles not be used as a primary catch.

I agree with this, but I think the answer is to nerf grabs and make them slower and lower their range, not to remove them entirely. The problems is that grabs are too easy to land not that they're too powerful when they do land.
