I recently returned to the game after a 4-5 year hiatus, and i am sure part of my suggestion is that i get gearchecked all the time in PvP combat, but i have discussed how things mostly used to be 4-5 years ago, and while not perfect it was a civil and great discussion on how the game would be alot more enjoyable if they raised the effect of damage reduction reducing damage, aswell as the PvP roof for it, making fights longer.
And no, as i said in game i dont want people to be unkillable unless you know how to combo perfectly with 300+ FPS, all i want is that DP (damage reduction) would carry more weight then it it does right now.
Balance is garbage
It is already work the way you ask, you just need to have gear. If you have heavy DR build, then the fights "last long" VS other heavy dr, eva or accuracy builds as intendeed. Full AP builds supposed to counter full DR build so those can still onecombo you (depending on class).

You are missing 4 to 5 years of progression. Gear up first; do not try to rewind others' progress that you did not do. Having said that, PA has introduced a lot of capped node wars. Maybe do those to get a feel for your class. Classes have changed a lot in the last two years.
never did i insinuate that i wanted peoples work to be rewinded, you are putting words in my mouth, i talked about this for hours in world and server chat and had overall positive responses and discussions about it, even from long term players that was 63+.
Given that i also learned that Damage reduction is capped in PvP combat, and cannot go higher than a certain percentage does not seem like a good design either, If Full AP is supposed to counter full DR, then it should do so without having to put a cap on DR, same with a full ACC countering full EVA if such was the example, because you miss out on one stat if you focus on something yes? the people i discussed this with seemed to mostly agree that DP was not a stat that mattered for the truly 710+ GS enjoyers and so, maybe i misunderstood their wordings but to me it seems like so.

1, 710gs is gearlet nowdays
2, The "cap" on DR is 95% damage reduction, and that point you not going to get onecombo.
710gs is a gearlet now? Last time PA showed stats, most players weren't even close to 700gs.
