How do you propose the game differentiate between the Righteous Player that is defending their grind spot and the Griefer that comes in and kills you repeatedly without warning to get you out of the spot? That is the crux of the matter, isn't it?
Neither You or the Person attacking you for said spot owns it Someone opening their flag to fight you on a pvp oritented game dosnt equal Griefin if you want Pvp Free Oliva server for newplayers Seasons Marnis Realm not flag up most people wont sit their and want to waste their time on you if they can't dec you or get you to leave. If someone can outgrind you i would simply leave. If they follow to new rotation and keep doing said Behavior thats when you clip it and send to PA with timestamps of behavior and let them decide if thats bannable behavior or not.
As I said in the OP I have NEVER seen these type of players in nearly 30 years of MMO gaming.
If you are at a camp for 30m+ minutes, then some random person comes and camps on top of you, you are indeed the victim. You did nothing wrong.
I saw that behavior in Ultima Online, EverQuest, Dark Age of Camelot, Acheron's Call, and WoW. WoW, EQ, and DAoC instituted a tagging mob system for that very reason, Aceron's call had a "who did the most damage" for looting, and then the xp was shared based on the total damage you did to the mob, Ultima online first person to the corpse got the looting rights didn't matter who killed it, or who tagged it first.
I would venture to guess that many of the game you played that "didn't have this problem" did but they put measures in place to protect against it.
The issue is moslty what griefiers / idiots can do to you versus what you can do them.
Friday I was peacefully grinding Gyfin Rhasia Underground, sadly I crashed so I got the cooldown with the Marni room so I did the rest of my hour on the spot of the Marni, noboby was grinding, I was alone. At the very end of my farm, a player came to me with a Berserker, ATLC me, grabbed me and made it bugged by changing settings while grabbing.
His goal was to stuck me in his grab to let me die in the monster.
This is the issue now. Players can now do what they want without being worried by getting punished. It has always been the same issue with BDO, and instead of working on the problem to solve it, Pearl Abyss is jus taking stupid decision which are destroying the game more than it resolves issues.
this all just translates to your lack of patience, if i didnt know how to swap servers or call a stronger guild id feel like i had to quit too, only because of carebear hugbox takes like this did the change go through, it will kill/is killing any lategame pvp population. OP and people who defend OP are delusional
Certainly sucks if your getting greifed every time you play. I on the other hand have NEVER experienced this in all my years since launch. So im not sure if your not just blowing it out of the water. There is so many channels and your entilted i shouldn't have to change channels is whats killing this games pvp. It was designed as a pvp game and every year they nerf pvp more and more for the newbies. Now you can hardly get a GVG, everything is capped pvp, and karma is family wide so you cant even have a red alt to play on. If your group of people cant get past this problem yall are having, I dare to say you are not the old school mmo player you claim to be.

I frequent Olvia server as a veteran player of 7+ years of playing BDO and the only place I've experienced this is at centaurs and the potion drop areas. Seasonal it's a bit more common but remedied through grouping in order to complete the kill quests that 99% of the seasonal players are doing.
I'm in agreement with you about the op because something just seems off about this post.

PvP is extremely unpopular in MMOs, especially forced open world PvP.

Game is growing due to all these great changes. We're getting closer to full PvE-only servers every patch. It's great.

I woulda flaged up on you for sayin that dumb shit.
It aint great. its stupid, cause when yall could swap channels to avoid issues, you cry victim and report folks for sending folks like you to the node. The change was unnessary. Sure take care of the Harrassers who FOLLOW you to a different channel or feed you to mobs constantly.
But its fking CAP that you think PA ACTUALLY had a "majority" problem with people constantly pvping on a one sided means. In all honesty shit like this only happens cause someone Fked around, and now they and Their guild, is finding out.
Most Decs are well deserved, and most times I see people getting farmed is for normally Solid reasons. There are some people that take it overboard, thats just a margin. PA is making it seem "Bigger" than what it is since the mods dont wanna deal with the Reported Tickets which is already part of their fkin job in the first place.
I've been playing for less than 2 weeks and already multiple times on Olvia channels I've had some Berserker follow me around and hit every single mob I'm hitting, standing quite literally directly on top of my character.
I've been playing MMO's since 2003 and and I have never seen this type of behavior. It's actually insane and I couldn't believe It at first. I then I asked around and apparently it's "normal" here. That's disgusting.
New players will not tolerate it and will swiftly quit. This will reduce your revenue greatly.
Please consider changing mob claiming rules(anyone within x radius mob dying gets loot and xp), zero cooldown infinite duration marni realms that your party members can join, or hire more GMs to quickly jail and supsend griefers.
I started this game with a group of 30 MMO vet friends who have been playing MMO's since ~1999(everquest / ultima online etc) and I am the only one left playing. They all quit due to griefers. These are adults who make 150k+/year and were willing to drop thousands on this. That's a lot of revenue lost just due to some griefers.
Take a lollipop and cry somewhere else, grief will be made if it is wanted regardless of what the PA does, that's why there are Guild wars, to be able to calm that kind of people by own forces or by calling some friends. The players kept order and it was beautiful. The grief-guilds were immediately destroyed and subsided.
Current changes prevent good players from taking action against griefers . It is the fault of the PA and the players who wanted these changes.
