Yeah then how about deleting the whole artifact/lightstone system at that point then since they are basically just crystals on different name anyway and adding mroe crystal slots instead?

TBH artefacts and lightstones should have never been quipment based. I guess it was developed and as they reworked crystals "forgotten". But its not nearly as frustrating, as they are intended to slot in and out on the go. Lightstones work different than crystals, in that you have a variety of set effects that are the main stat gain insteat of on item stats and same set-bonus. Meaning crystals are much more limiting.
The worst thing about lightstones is, you have no easy in-game way to see what sets are possible. Everyone just looks them up on garmoth, wich as an external site is great. But I dont know if its really the intention of a game to rely on 3rd party enviroment. But thats off topic.
Now that we have lightstones, it would be a problem to just remove them for some crystals slots. Those cant replace them at all in some cases. But I do think its a good direction to implement them into the same window? We have so many places to change dmg and the like, that it can be frustrating to grind an hour just to see you forgot to change stuff back from life skill.
Maybe we should separate them by life skill and pvx too? But those ideas are beyond the scope we should discuss here. The "one klick change everything button" is a dream, that would need a complete rework of the games UI and menues as we know them. And what ppl hate more than inconvinience is drastic change.

And yes, I would welcome any change to the lightstone system that would make swapping lighstone combinations simpler. I have 14 combinations I use now, so even the preset inventory is not sufficient.

The whole artifact/ligstone system is a unbalanced mess, there is no reason to save it, although crystals also a mess aswell so realistically both should be removed(also skill addons and passives shoud be removed aswell) and a new, uniformized crystal (or call how you want) system should be added.

Also it's easy to change artifacts anyway, and they are basically free while mostl ighstones being minlisted anyway, so just have multiple sets. It ain't that big of a deal with what we had with crystals since you could not just have 2 gloves etc. since it was too expensive.

its more about convinience tbh. I have what... 30 sets? idealy more. sure you can run to the next city, spend a maximum of 40mil and have them reslotted, but to that because now you want ap and on the other spot you need accuracy... or mastery vs exp. if we could just use a button and be done, why not?
unbalanced idk. just extra stats to coplete your build. if you want most classes to loose out on 100% crit chance i dont mind. elvia is unbalanced by design. lightstones just exploit the same problems the game had befor. you wont correct those by deleting them again.
