Hello community and potentially the devs! A lot of us have been worried about guild Declaration as it ruins the fun for most of the PvP community. We completely understand that new players do not have any PvPing as they absolutely get squabbled in 90% of scenarios. I can understand that, I used to be undergeared, I emphasize with that, all of us players who are at the competitive stage of the game, understand that. I have a few proposals that may fix the War Declaration issue alot of people are saying is "killing the game".
First idea is the easier fix. increase the cap of protection slots that are available for guilds to use. This is the quick fix. Players who lifeskill or have no gear or dont enjoy PvP can simply be put into protection. The issue is fixed, war declaration can be reverted and the new players can stay happy and safe.
The second idea, instead of reverting the war dec changes you can keep them as they are, but the key change to appease the PvP crowd would be to make it so that the declarations for war can not be dropped unless its mutual between GMs. if you start a war you keep you war until all parties are satisfied with warring. it stops people from doing things like dropping declarations because their warscore is bad, It also implies that GMs would communicate to be able to drop declaration and provide and ends to perhaps toxic warring, which would promote a better and less toxic community.
The 3rd idea would be to make war decs be unable to be dropped for agreed upon times maybe both GMs agreed to 12 hours, maybe its a week, maybe they can schedule it for 15 days or 22 days. That would be an interesting change that locks 2 guilds into conflict and there is no way exit the declaration. perhaps even selecting servers that lock each guilds server options to only being able to be on a selected 4 servers. people who are protected would be able to access fully other servers. So new players and those who lifeskill/ are under geared could not be server locked for fighting.

It really wasn't broken the way it was. And those that fight so hard about pushing no pvp could have literally swappe channels as much as those who did want to pvp. The argument can go both ways. You dont like pvp, go seasonal, go to another channel.

Especially people who so want PVP that they never do/done nodewars at all, because nodewars means that both sides ready for PVP.
How come its only PVP when only you want/ready it, and when everyone ready for it, sudenly its not an PVP?
Also nothing stop those "PVP lovers" to join 2 guilds and declare on each others.

So, "ruins the fun" really means, "I can't get my GM to dec on people I want to gank without penalty." I'm in a lifeskill/PvE guild. 90% of our memebers are not equiped to fight off PK'ers. We had a dec go for weeks where every time anyone stepped out of a safe zone they were attacked. Why were we dec'ed on? Someine in the guild who could defend theirself actually killed the PK. SO, for revengge, he dec'ed and no one was safe without switchg off our guild servers or staying in town. So whose fun was ruined there? You want to PK? You still can. just flag up. But if you want to gank, you just have to pay the price.
