As someone who's been playing this game for a long time on and off, I feel like I've lost touch with how it feels to be a new player.
So out of curiosity, I was hoping everyone could give their opinions on subjects like:
-What confused you first when you started a game?
-Did it feel intuitive to learn the game? (If not, why?)
-Did you feel lost?
-Was it easy to learn your class and did you understand your abilities?
Honestly, anything helps, I'm just curious to read new players' opinions on how the game felt to them on their first run and if they felt like they needed guidance for one topic or mechanic, what would it be?
Thank you!
BDO is hard for new players and i felt lost many times.
1.) First confusion were the quests. I didn't understand how to proceed with certain quests.. I didn't know that I have to click on "Chat" instead of "Quest". Also Main-quest-chain is sometimes closed and I have to start following one via Black spirit or other NPC. (This was improved over the years. But I got many confusions those 3 years ago.)
2.) I didn't understood gear upgrade system. I had to watch Youtube-guides. When the guide started explaining Failstacks I qot headache and stop the game, uninstalled BDO!
3.) I returned to BDO after year when some Event was running. Inventory of my characters got full. I didn't know what are all those items. I got frustrated and uninstalled BDO!
Now I returned for second time. And I mostly do lifeskilling. Magnus questchain unlock me all-over-the-world storage. Amazing feature! I guess that shared store feature keeps me playing now. Moving materials between my Alts.
