I messaged support about this and they refered me to this forum and encouraged me to comment. I had the exact same problems. It doesn't really make sense why the helmet doesn't allow recoloring--seems like an oversight to me.  Hopefully they'll realize how many people love this apparel and will fix it for us, especially since the helmet can't be hidden.

At least let us remove the hood/helmet, that way the costume still looks nice and is dyable without the hood.

Sadly no, "their word is final".

+1 anyway to u guys.
We should at first have the possibility to use Merv Palet in the Pearl Shop so we would see what is doable.

We should also be able to remove the helmet of all costumes, no exception. Otherwise, why bother personalize our character?

Also, all parts should be personalized, especially when nothing indicates the contrary and you paid for it.

if they are concenrned people will dye the hood in white (kek) they should disable just that one specific color and allow us to dye the rest. also metalic face visor.

I never had any bad thought about dying it in white. It would be nice, that's all.

If they really cared about being "politically correct", they would not sell so provocative female outfits don't u think?

I never had an issue with coloring anything in white or in any colour.

Soon if I dye anything in red, people will tell I adulate Satan or blood... Come on!

P.S.: how come people tend to blame everyone's choices here? I mean for those who want more underwear choices for Shaï, some call them "pedo", and here for dying an outfit in any colour they want, some call them "racist"? Those ideas never crossed my mind so I wonder how comes it comes for some... Maybe the trouble is not in the game but just in their heads!

Ha! Prise I was just thinking that

This feels very similar to the Shai situation where there is a(I assume) regional restriction making an outfit look dumb for stupid but well intentioned reasons.

Whats currently missing is the whole crew of internet lawyers showing up and asserting with absolute confidence and authority "No. It will never happen. Stop.  Racism is against the law. You filthy racists disgust me. Trying to dye your damn outfit, jfc yall need jesus"

While entirely missing the point and not even realizing that theyre the only ones thinking that way.

but anyways, +1 especially since most wizards who buy this have no way of knowing about the restriction

If it doesnt go away, at least at some warning text to the item in the shop :|

Or dye previews. I get the impression that such a thing may be difficult or impossible within the engine or PA would have done it already- but it would be an all around win for BDO and help people reduce the impact of situations like this

2023 and i was tricked too! PA YOU HAVE TO STOP THIS! either remove white color if your so paranoid OR give people back their plats! i have already sold the weapons because i was not aware of this but its PA PROBLEM for not mentioning this ANYWHERE on the armor box or set!!!

This is just ridiculas!

PA DISABLE WHITE COLOR FOR CLOTH instead of disabling WHOLE dye!
