I realize this is probably too short notice for this year BUT.. Actual trick or treating would be a lot of fun and sticks to the tradition in real life in the western world. I know there are quests but honestly they are not that fun nor close to halloween traditions. The suggestions listed below could also be done during other holidays as well.
  

Trick or Treating: Allow people to buy trick or treat bags (shape of pumpkins, ghosts, goblins etc)  that they carry in hand or as a backpack with Loyalties or even a rare one with pearls. The trick or treat bags/backpack need to be worn in order to visit certain npc's and or locations to Trick or Treat interacte and collect treats.

Treats: Could insist of decoraction, small buffs, potions of some sort and or items needed to put together via processing to create the decorations, potions & buffs etc. Also Halloween Lollies & Cookies or even candy apples that can be worn in the mouth (a slot already exists) as a costume piece that coincides with halloween (could also be done with other holidays) would be a lot of fun.

Pumpkin Gathering Fields: Bountiful feilds of pumpkins (Spooky Alejandro Farm) where you can gather pumpkins to create pumpkin decorations for the home. IE stack of pumpkins, carved pumpkins etc. I realize there are pumpkin decorations you can buy through the pearl shop but this would be an interactive event and with Rare Trick or Treat Bags/Backpacks this would not take away from Pearl Profits.

Event Houses: There is an event in forums for people to decorate their house and enter a screenshot contest but what about a list of decorated houses to visit? Players could input which house (Calpheon Market Street 6-4 -"Aphy") they have solely decorated for Halloween for people to visit as a guest. This would require a new "Event" tab in the F5 Visit feature BUT this would increase pearl sales greatly and event participation in-game as players could finally show off their festive homes to all that wish to visit. (Not just higest rank houses that are chaotic crowded item traps that you cannot visit) I personally have 1 house for year round halloween and another that is a christmas tree farm. Yeah I like many take pride in our items and display them in our decorated homes and yes want to show them off to everyone. This Event tab feature would allow that. Now how to get on the event tab list? Offer an item via pearl shop for holiday event. Said item needs to be put in the residence, then visit event npc to chose option to list specific residence for event.

I have way more idea's for events but I will keep this short. However these interactive events is something that myself and many others I know would love to see happen. Again it would increase pearl profits & player activity. So... What says you?

I love all of your ideas listed here so much! A Halloween event with Trick or treating would be very fun, and more interactive events in general would be great!

Holiday events in games are my favorite, especially GW2 as a mention, because there's many activities to choose from, and there's new prizes added each year. Having different items/prizes to work towards and collect is exciting, and keeps players coming back!

All of the categories you mentioned, and titles as well, would make things more interesting; instead of the usual things we get from the majority of events, like advice of valks as an exmaple (which are fine and good), but having cosmetic rewards alongside that option would be nice!

The community aspect of visiting decorated houses is neat as well ^^. Hopefully if not this year, then maybe next Halloween we can have some activities like these!🧡

Speaking of which, haven't we usually seen some sort of seasonal event for this in game by this point?  Maybe with the upcoming patch.

From what I recall its like 2 weeks before the event and 2 weeks after... I don't understand why they do not run it for the entire month and allow players to have a better time. I personally hate events past the holiday and into the next month.

Yeah, the after-party for a holiday is kinda lame, but if you had it for a month prior, by the time the actually day comes, you'll be sick of the holiday.  However you slice it, a month-long celebration gets kinda tough.  Put the decorations up for a while beforehand, give a 2-week long event, as that is the usual event length, one week before and after so it doesn't get tiresome, and one can enjoy the holiday for a bit after the actual day.  Or, maybe two-weeks prior, one week after.

But most importantly, the trick-or-treat idea sounds awesome.  It's a great way to do some rewarding sight-seeing.  Most people prefer not to have to wander the cities and the lands, but give them nice rewards, and no one should complain.

I'm saying a month prior because the events start 2 weeks before and leave it for 2 weeks after. I understand having it for 4 weeks since it is a holiday a lot of people miss it and extending it allows everyone the opportunity to take part but after the holiday is over and the events are still going... It's like overkill. So making it 4 weeks prior allows everyone to make the events while its still in the season and not after.

Myself and many I know love to wander and explore. Most lifeskillers do infact as it's how you can gain a lot of energy and new quests from npcs you havent yet met. But I'm just really dying for some actual western traditions to be brought into the game to make it really fun and worth it during season holidays. We engage in Korean traditions daily and sharing traditions is the coolest part. I'd kill to be a part of the design team in PA lol

As expected.. the Halloween events do not coincide with Halloween at all. Red Light Green Light is a preschool game. Another World Boss as though we don't have enough already. Another barely movable Robot Transformation Scroll to defeat a Robot has nothing to do wtih Halloween. Personally I feel the SteamPunk theme is horrible. Its Victorian meets Science and has nothing to do with Halloween. If it were a Halloween Outfit then maybe but for a Halloween theme.. there's nothing spooky or remotely close to Halloween about it. The Pearl Shop is flooded with buyable decorations catering to whales. The Step Up Wonderland Pearl Shop Event doesn't let you pick any halloweeen outift you want. You are stuck with Alice in Wonderland that has been overdone. A Title (In Wonderland) should be earned in game and not buyable. It takes away from the esteemed rewarding effect from titles. Step2 is more of the same OLD stuff most already have, same with Step3. The Alice In Wonderland them has already been done before with the Queen of Light/Darkness, Underwears etc. Nothing new! 10% off very old costumes is insulting. Sure maybe new players don't have them but that doesn't change the fact that they are very old and outdated really. Same old Halloween Events before that are boring and not Halloweenie at all.

All this just makes me move to other games that offer new events, costumes, rewards etc that do coincide with halloween that are not old repeats. And infact I do just that and say to hell with BDO Halloween and other Holidays. It's a joke. Come on Pearl Abyss.. you guys are competing with other games yet you offer nothing pertaining to actually holiday traditions nor anything new at all. This only drives players away and causes you to offer free accounts, easier everything and a ton more freebies in the form of dice games, log in's etc trying to bring in new players. But if you would just offer NEW CONTENT during HOLIDAYS that actually pertain to that holiday each year you'd find Not only new players but old players sticking around more and returning. But why return for the same stuff they've already done and already have?? There's no reason at all.

The community needs to speak up more about this. If we say nothing and accept old stuff, repeats everytime we only have ourselves to blame when we get bored and leave. Discounts should be expected on old outfits/items but new content for holidays to make things more enjoyable for all would be fantastic and I know people have other idea's then what I've previously mentioned so lets hear it!!!

I would really enjoy it if holiday event's are a bit different every year besides copy and pasted from the previous year. And how about new event cosmetics??? Can be as simple as pumpkin stickers for your characters face, JUST SOMETHING NEW PLEASE. Some people love checking out games just for the holiday events, bdo is really sleeping on this aspect :(
