You guys made a beautiful new place (the Sea Palace) and now it's empty and nobody goes there anymore. Why?
Just let us cheese by using the Velia entrance and then teleporting to Loml for free and back! It's not that big of a deal and people would actually go to the Sea palace again!
Noone goes there since there is no point in going there. Its literately an event-only zone and the event is not active rn.

There are actually quests there that are pretty chill to do if you are going for quest count titles. But without being able to access it from Velia, my alts now have to wait until it's their turn to do the LOML questline to do the sea palace as well.
The issue I have is, you can't bring fish into the Magnus. The only way to get fish from the mainland to LoML and vise versa was to go through the sea palace. LoML fishing is dead largely because there is no imperial vendor, the prices are stupid low, and you can't bring them to anywhere far away to sell them.
Fish transportation as well as a free teleport back and fourth! The sea palace was pretty awesome.
The whole point of having distance bonuses for selling fish (and other things) was that - you had to cover that distance. A shortcut - shortcuts that. [edit: meant to add - add back the shortcut, and fish transported that way should not get the distance bonus, maybe just from Velia.]
LOML does need more NPCs etc. But, as nice as the free teleport was, that is counter to game world design and LOML as the distant land.
What they have there now isn't enough for me to want to travel regularly, so I have a couple of alts there. I do end up almost there on a daily basis anyway from doing sailies, it's really not that long of a boat trip - if you have reason to go. Maybe that will happen when the next section is released.
Magnus / 30M+ silver for a round trip isn't horrible, depending on your gameplay. But no, it's not for fish or other trade goods.
So, yeah, nice to have that transport bonus as part of the event. Didn't really seem all that game breaking. It's not like people were making bank off of LOML fish. And maybe the game world is just a little too big for what it offers at the moment.

I would happily skip on any fish bonus. It was all about the free teleport. Currently, it's too expensive and people don't wanna go. In addition to that two things need to be considered here:
1. People avoid paying by using alts ( I have an alt there too), which again is a form of cheating the lore.
2. There are less people there because of this. Nobody goes to the sea palace at all at this point. Before we had more movement.

Yep. Although for (1) I sort of RP that in my head as "they belong there": a Maewha and a Tamer. I've had the Maewha out in that part of the world going way back pre-LOML for just that reason. And the NPCs do sort of recognize both as kind of distant relatives or something.

This coment pretty clearly shows why they should not add it, since everyone used the whole zone to exploit.
