If you "would love to welcome every new player into the uncapped pvp experience with open arms because the scene desperately needs new people" like you said, then you should know that new players don't enjoy getting smoked over and over by gearlords...

The game needs new people, true. The way to keep the new people that try out the game is by allowing them to have fun through capped content where they can fight people that are at the same level of gear progression as them rather than fighting someone who's already hit soft cap or even cap. This will later on motivate them to get gear so they can actually fight people in uncapped content and flex their own gear like us who are at a later progression stage gear wise.

No one is saying the whole game should be capped, we are saying people that just freshly joined the game should be able to have a bit of fun so they don't mental boom and quit the game 1 week after they install it which is what sadly happens to most people. In order to do this, all you have to do is add ONE SINGLE room in RBF that's capped just for new players and leave all the other rooms uncapped as they are.

The gear progression itself is already cringe enough, if we are gonna put them through the pain in the arse of fighting people that are WAY above their gear who they cannot even outplay even if they full combo them 10 times then obviously people will quit the game lmfao...

you clearly didnt properly read my comments on this thread.

I am fully aware that new players dont enjoy "getting smoked by gearlords over and over", the solution to this however is not to seperate the community into people that play capped pvp and people that play uncapped pvp, the solution is to adress the root of the issue which is the excruciatingly long time it takes to get yourself to a competitive level of gear in order to start enjoying uncapped pvp.

and yeah sure nobody is saying "cap the whole game" but thats exactly whats happening if you continue to add more and more capped versions of the only modes that are left as a exclusively uncapped experience. the vast majority of nodewars are already capped, there is a capped siege region and AoS is also completely equalized.

this is already almost all types of pvp content that even exists in the game since they basically killed open world pvp and guild wars recently and the result of it is definitely not that "those players get motivated to progress and go into uncapped later" the actual reality is that people stay in capped nodewars/sieges indefinitely and dont play the game/grind/progress outside of the 1-2h nodewar they play and however many AoS matches they feel like doing because there is no reason to, they are already allowed to do all the content without any need for gear or any benefit to having more of it.

when it comes to RBF specifically theres already at most 1 fully filled RBF match and one half filled one during prime time on the most populated regions and you plan to introdue a new type of RBF that could potentially result in further splitting the playerbase instead of - again - adressing the root issue which is the progression.

if people could easily progress their gear to competitive levels in a acceptable amount of time by doing things that they find fun there would suddenly be no more need to have 80% of content capped because everyone would be able to have enough gear to "not get stomped by gearlords all the time".

its really not a hard concept to grasp and would eventually result in the pvp interested playerbase being in one big unified pool all playing with and against each other instead of splitting it up and letting the uncapped scene slowly die because you deprive it of new players coming in and replacing old players that leave.

The AoS gear system and it's limited but flexible ways to customize your character feels wasted on only a 3v3 elimination game mode.
If this gearing system is already in the game and implemented why can't it be expanded at the least to work for a Red Battlefield playlist?
It would help create an even playing field and easy access for newer players and entry level PvPers that doesn't end up with them simply dying in 15 seconds and having to sit around waiting in Solare to respawn.
Ideally you could have a Battle Arena that uses the AoS gear system, 1v1's, Red Battlefield, Big Team Battles, and maybe some Oddball game modes like Free for All, or King of the Hill.

What you're asking for already exists. It's called season rbf. Everybody is equal in gs there, and everything comes down to build and class. If you don't want to work for your gear, then just say so. The fact that the devs keep capping everything is detrimental to the game, we don't need more of this nonsense. If we have no reason to chase gear, then people stop grinding. If people stop grinding, this game dies. There's no other content to do in this game.

capped content right now is just best classes performing on specific caps combined with consumables/potions and crystals poor people cant afford anyway so that people have advantage over them.

people pretend they want capped content but they jsut want advantage without actually playng the game.

It's astounding how many people can't even read a title let alone past it.

Arena of Solare caps are actual caps that allow simple customization unlike season rbf or psuedo capped content that allows consumables with no expression.

Also a 3v3 elimination mode waiting for long respawns is awful for repetitive practice as opposed to having a simple que in faster paced playlist using the gearing system they've already made so it wouldn't require extra development time.

Braindead people arguing for less content and less access for newer or casual players.

They must think fun and engagement in PvP comes from smashing numbers against each other instead of skill expression and learning the ins and outs of a class.

In this thread: people who don't know how to read waste their time getting angry at their own made up problems.

Guys. If you aren't going to contribute to the actual discussion, maybe consider doing something else. Like getting a hobby.

Again: You want the game to hand you the builds and all the gear without playing the game. That aside, AoS caters to like 6 or 7 classes out of the entire spectrum compared to seasons where everybody dies in a combo, so no, it's not some gamemode that allows skill expression. But what else would I expect from a drak player? Especially one named booblizard of all things. Imagine calling someone braindead when your name is booblizard. AoS is also dead content. It's the same few hundred people fighting for ranks and a couple handfuls of people doing unranked, and you want to extend that crappy game mode elsewhere? Miss me with that bs.

So which side is the made up problem? Population is certainly dwindling, and surprise surprise, it's happened after pa continues to throw more caps at the game, removing pvp content at the same time, and doing their best effort to spite all the vets who supported their game for years. We also didn't make this thread begging PA to just throw game modes that do all the work for you, giving you full builds with no cost of actually spending time in the conent. Let me remind that this game is A GODDAMN MMORPG. Did people forget the two key elements of an MMORPG? They are A. Grinding for character/account progression and B. Playing with a bunch of players online, all at once.
