Clip from GM notes Late night talk
"We are considering expanding the available options to obtain rare crystals. With the updates of highly valued crystals and new crystals that are difficult to obtain being made, they have put a lot of pressure on our Adventurers. As we add more ways to obtain them, we expect that this pressure will be alleviated. "
The rarity is one point of the problem, the other problem is that people do not want to risk many hours of progress on new areas. One of the reasons people would rather grind Centaurs for hours is that there is no risk to progress, and the incentive to go to a spot that is 5% more profitable for 300% more effort just isn't worth it to many people myself included. It is even worse when that extra effort is met with less income not more, like the case of Ulukita. You make more silver picking flowers for 15 minutes than you do grinding a full hour, and there is zero risk picking flowers.
If crystals did not break people would be willing to try new areas, and would be willing put in the extra effort at the new spots, because should you happen to mess up you would not be nuking 10+ hours of grinding if the wrong crystal broke.
I know it is a concern that the crystal market would crash. I pose the question, what is worse, a bad crystal market or players leaving because the game is no longer rewarding?
Making crystals "easier to obtain" might have the same effect and nuke the crystal market anyways.
"pressure on our Adventurers " Things like that makes me sad. It kills the challenge of the games. And consider last changes BDO is coming more more game for people who dont like even a little bit of effort. Realy sad....
