I've noticed a lot of people asking if Shai really needed a buff because they don't understand how irrelevant the skills that got damage boosts are. They are filler skills that hit only one target and are rarely used for PvE because of how spammable our main damage skills are. I only use them for the buffs they give from skill addons. So please, don't freak out, Shai did not get buffed in PvE. And we got directly nerfed in PvP.
What we REALLY should have gotten was more protections on our main skills. Not a damage buff. Forward guards are nonexistent and we really need to be able to stand there and block damage sometimes because when a whole ass dehkia oluns wave is hitting you at the same time, you just die. Our heal on hit is not enough for survivability. I personally would have been happy with a single lingering forward guard on one proc of our RMB skill.
The Sol change is nice. We finally get the monster and species damage that other classes have had for years. It doesn't affect our talent skills because let's be honest, who uses bongos in PvE?

ehh, the damage buffs on skills are okay, though feel like Try This! buff could be a bit better.
I'm definitely hoping she gets something out of the next changes as she actually lacks protections, aoes etc...
Not that they will do though.

When the most recent patched dropped and I made the sunset sol I thought for just a moment that shai was taken out of the trashcan.
But I was wrong. Shai is still in the trashcan.
Why?
Because she did not get buffed in proportion to other classes. So she is now falling even further behind.

I agree with that. I don't know where they got that BS from about bringing classes up to par with Woosa. If that was the goal the it was a failure.
