We have occasional lifeskill events for hunting, gathering, cooking, alchemy, training, and fishing.  Why are trading, barter, and sailing never given an event?

I'll let someone else come up with ideas for a trading event, since that lifeskill is so messed up right now.

Barter events:  

Random item received while exhanging barters, could include significant barter exp, crow coins, barter boxes, ship upgrade materials, or buffs that increase barter exp and reduce parley consumption for some time.

Double chance of getting special barters.

Double crow-coin events.

Sailing:

Sailors pick up some new random event item while sailing, could include significant sailing exp, crow coins, ship upgrade materials, or buffs that increase ship stats (speed/turn/accel/brake) for some time.

Event item drops from the random ghost ships or red cargo boats.

Temporary (1 month?) crystal to equip on boats that give some decent effect, such as +100 sailing mastery, +5% ship stats, etc.

agree that there should be stuff for all, but  all at once please, im into t10 marathon and it feels like a dickpunch every week that we have some lifeskill event idc about.

I agree.

For trading: they should do an event where all the traders we used to trade with can be traded with again.  And restore the old trading system, but with better prices.

But that's just me pining for the good old days.
