Can We Get A Harpoon Fishing Revamp!?

Suggestions/Comments: Active Fishing for a while has been forgotten about and nerfed over the years. Back in 2016 Fishing used to be a great way to make Silver but as the years have gone by and the updates have been rolling in Active Fishing like the hotspots or Harpoon Fishing is now dead. Most players didn't know you could Harpoon nor that you could catch anything more than 10-40mil Fish. Sure, the prices of the Fish were increased to reflect the Trading Revamp but still Fishing is left by the wayside. Take the Giant Black Squid or the Ghost Whale for Example:
These look great to sell and would be a dream to any Fisherman but getting them makes it not worth the time and effort. Here me out, not only do you need Professional 5 Fishing just to equip 1 of 2 Harpoons that have NO real difference (which is a shame) but we need Guru Fishing just to have a chance of seeing any Prized Fish. This makes Harpooning or even Active Fishing feel like its meant to be the better way to Fish or "End Game Fishing" yet its more of a relic lost to time. A couple ideas could be to either add a few new Prized Harpoon Fish to some Harpoon Tables like in Nampo Sea or Juur Sea for example, Increase the Catch Chance of the Prized Fish with higher Mastery, or increase the value of the prized Harpoon Fish would make them more enticing instead of feeling like its easier to just AFK Fish for the Plump Ceolacanths. It can already be a little expsensive getting the gear for Fishing and keeping boats supplied having more valuable fish able to caught would make Harpooning not feel like a silver sink...
Silver Sink? From Fishing?
Hear me out! This leads into one of the bigger problems that came along with the Gathering Revamp that introduced Mastery. In order to catch any Prized Harpoon Fish requires higher mastery which in turn requires better gear and a Fishing boat or a Cog. Both of these come with issues however. But, did you know once you hit 1200 Fishing Mastery for the +3 Prized Catch Harpoon Level. Mastery after that point does nothing? Did you also know you don't have to wear Fishing Clothes to hit 1200 Mastery?
Seem's broken. Right? For those who invested into Mastery Fishing Clothes thinking it would help with Fishing or Harpooning. Nope! Even increasing the Mastery for normal Prized fish doesn't increase the chances by much and EVERYONE knows the price clothes can go up too for those TET Manos Fisher Clothes. For the Silver it costs we should be rewarded better with Mastery instead of wasting Billions or increase the catch chances more than .8% when actually wearing Manos Fishing Clothes.
And yeah could segway into the usual things I hear like Mastery Harpoons later on but first I'd rather have the mastery actually matter before getting yet another silver sink for Mastery that wouldn't do a thing (especially being able to get +3 without touching the clothes) which goes for Crio's Fishing Chairs too. Once you have hit the 1200 cap they offer nothing of value removing yet another slot like with lures.
But alas, I know changing Fishing Mastery could be too big so lets talk about the OTHER problem with Harpoon Fishing: the only Boats we're able to Harpoon on AFTER wasting the money on gear when you didn't need it. Back in 2016 the Fishing boat was the only boat we could use to Harpoon. Its slow, has to be replaced, and had to be recrafted. Fast Forward to the Great Expedition Expansion and we're given the Cog which is faster but still has to be rebought with Loyalty or Crafted again. Now, we have the faster Carracks, Sailing Mastery that effects the bigger ships speed, ocean currents that the Cog cant fully use when the Wind blows AGAINST the sail, even being able to craft the Epheria Sailboat and Frigate/buy them using seals but no better option for those wanting to Harpoon.
Having only two options that are slower, can't be repaired, no extra storage slots, and way to enjoy Sailing to Harpoon for hours kills Harpooning. Active Fishing is given a break here with being able to Fish off the side of ANY boat or flat surface.
But hold on! There's an easy solution for this problem I'm proposing though. Its time we get an Epheria Fishing Boat. Having a boat designated ONLY for Fishing would bring a lot more eyes onto Harpooning and getting more Fisherman back out in Margoria searching for Prized Fish. This boat doesn't need to have a complete line and could be something we can earn from a questline like with the Bartali Sailboat OR even allowing the Epheria Sailboat to upgrade into it. A boat like this could easily use the same Features as the Epheria Ships to allow for the Breezy Sail Skill, Sailors, and parts but also the Cargo hold can be made like Shim Cheong's Miraculous Fish Tank to hold the Fish
This idea is to make Harpoon Fishing reflect the efforts it takes to start and return this to being the "End Game" Fishing so we have something to look forward too opposed to only Fishing during the thousands of AFK fishing events thats always ongoing. I should not feel dirty for spending 5 hours with 1600 Fishing Mastery Harpoon Fishing to get 1 Ghostwhale while AFK players make more than that in Velia beach OR taking hours to Fish in Margoria to sail back to the mainland just to find it doesn't make a lot and you've wasted 1,000 Loyalty. Not sure about anyone else but 1k is a lot for EACH one and you only get 200 a day NOT during events or when returning and new players bonuses.
Oh, please before I forget. I'm not asking for a Secret Item or a rare drop like the Forest Crystal. Please PLEASE please just revamp it or something. Not only was it very extremely hard to Fish up a Forest Crystal to the point Sniper Hunting was the better option BUT Fishing was just so sad out there in the land of the morning light when Trading out to Valencia..
Not sure it that was ever intended but I'm gonna take a wild guess and say yes because "you have a chance of getting a Forest Crystal" Any new player starting out on the Land of the Morning Light quickly found out how little they could make Fishing there and I wouldn't be shocked if they chose not to Fish again until someone mentioned they could Fish in Velia or Grana..
So, as you can see and judging by the title. Other than AFK Fishing, Active Fishing like Harpooning which USED to be considered the end goal for Fishing feels more dead with each new QoL update and major Revamps. Any change or sign that you guys even remember Harpooning is a thing would be great! Anyone who knows my guides or follows me on both Youtube or Twitch knows I prefer to do this more than any other kinds of Fishing. Its sad to me knowing my Fishing Gear doesn't matter, Fishing Mastery is a complete joke, and we still can't harpoon on a better boat. Please Pearl Abyss consider any of these ideas. With all the cool new updates to the Ocean and boats etc etc it'd be great to have active Fishing and Harpooning see some love instead of continuining to wither away into obscurity.

100% agree. Harpooning needs to feel similar to getting to high mastery cooking, alchemy, or hunting shadow wolves or rhinos with elixers. Like you've finally made it to the big leagues.
You could even mix in something that gets overlooked and down right frowned upon and make them synergize with each other. Use Twins idea with the fish tank and add it and a repair module to the Balance boat. If it can't beat frigates in attack power or speed and can't beat Advance in Barter weight, then beat them in another way. Two birds, one stone. I'm sure players will not regret building or even go out of their way to build a Balance if they could store fish, repair equipment, and harpoon from it. Hell, I'd know what boat I would aim for. I'd buy the skin too!

I think they'll just be VTOLs the way things are heading.... I dunno how else you could out-do the Ardunatt which I'm told by someone who owns one "literally just flies OVER mountains" while the Unicorn is just a JetSki capable of reaching Ocquilla in half the time of a Volante with 10 maxed out innocents (maybe if they let you Harpoon-fish WHILE riding on the Unicorn??)
