Ship collision would still remain if only hiding ships. There would have to be sort of system to turn off player collision while near a dock.
There already is, they just need to extend it to cover the board/disembark range, or a bit farther.

I'd like to have the option to hide any parked mount (if that isn't an option already). It'd get rid of the clutter...
