Is there a reason to not be like this already? I want to start a new character and don't need to do all quests again. Would be so much better if we could just start from where we stopped independent from the character we did it before. Idk if I'm the only one who thinks like that, but want opinions...

That would be great, but it should be optional. There are some players who probably like to do it so they can complete the journal. But yep, I get tired of doing all of the main quests. And there are SO many of them too.

He can't change anything with quests... Because they put the 30k quest log for several years and therefore we are doomed to have no modification/deletion/simplification/merging of quests...

There are multiple choices you make that are character specific.  If you make it so that you can only do the quest line once, there is no repeat factor, and you miss out on story line and story arc.  

Please let's not?  Or at least give us the option to repeat them if you do.

First, most main quests are independent of each other. The exception being Drieghan and Ody that are tied to the Kamasylvia questline, and the main quest from Balenos to Mediah.

Assuming you have already completed Balenos to Mediah on your main, you only need to level enough on an alt to unlock the other main quests and doing them if you want.

That said, the Balenos questline needs to be done 3 times with different choices to unlock all the knowledge related to it, so having that doable only once would break that. Many of the LOML quests also had crossroads that awarded different knowledge and titles.

I understand that some people don't like repeating quests, but many do.  Please don't take that option away from us.

And as others pointed out, you'll never get to 30k quests (let alone 50k and 100k) if you can't repeat the quests.

Not necessarily doomed... I mean the whole point of the quest log is to eventually get a reward from the number of quest that you do, correct? I'm sure that making the main questline family-wide can be the choice of the player. Myself and I'm sure many others probably don't care about how many quests they've completed as a target goal in the game. So, making it a choice to have any region's questline completed by any singular character can be done... just like you can choose the simplified season from Velia to Mediah for every character. If the player chooses to miss out on those character-specific stories that are seeded here and there after the Mediah questline, then PA isn't missing out on anything.

To understand the reason it isn't like this already you only need to look at the responses/downvotes to this topic and the last topic about it--this idea isn't popular and most players are against it.
