Family Name: Vulpa
Region (NA/EU): EU
Issues:
- For newer players, it's not immediately clear which channels are are meant for them. (The seasonal 'new' channels and Olvia 'new' channels are not grouped for example).
- The channels also follow different formats for naming ('New_Olvia', 'Balenos', Arsha, 'Season' adds to the feeling of clutter).
- It can take a bit of scrolling / searching to go to the exact channel you want, due to the size of the window and it being one big list.
Suggestions:
- All other channels could be divided in three different types: regular, pvp and seasonal.
- As additional functions, it could be nice to have a modular window where you can hide (collapse) certain servers so you see less channels, or select the channels you want to see by their type (for example: show only seasonal, or show only pvp).
A little visualisation of the before:
Benefits:
- Easier on the eyes. Easier to navigate.
- Guild base server becomes more useful: instead of only 3 channels, you can now swap between 5 channels, including a seasonal and pvp channel.
- More PvP (Arsha) channels can added with the drop rate benefits to encourage owPvP.
(Additional note:
This is probably its own topic: but couldn't Siege War technically be in its own separate realm, alike Elvia server?
Players already check their participation and usually command to gather at their node, so a button to move in top right corner of screen during siege times would be possible?
As advantage, normal activities can resume on regular servers, and Siege Wars on their separate realm may suffer less from overall server lag.
Certain modifications (terrain, safe zones, mobs) could also be specifically altered on this realm to be make it more suited for the war.)
I didn't stray too far from the current concept, but it kinda would be nice to have a complete overhaul that appeals visually.
Great idea! I hope we see this implemented. Good QoL.
I don't think they will ever add more Arsha servers outside the two we have now until one or both of them are "crowded" at least once.
Spliting up the owPvP base into more Arsha servers would do the opposite of encouraging more PvP.

Yeap I think my perception of the issue might have been a bit clouded due to the outrage on (mostly) reddit.
I thought Arsha would become vastly more popular now, but it's indeed still not dragging in a crowd.
The implementation of how the server groups work was less of my focus tbh, mostly looking forward to changes in design.
But just to clarify the thought process:
- adding more Arsha channels would counteract the PvP changes on regular channels a bit for those angry doomposters
(a.k.a I wrongly thought instead of diluting the Arsha PvPers it would attract the regular channel PvPers - kek)
- making Arsha part of guild base server with low CD to swap to could potentially make it more attractive for all players
- establishing Arsha servers as more of a 'thing' could convince people owPvP is a game mode and not just 'less effective grind'
(but i think that might involve changing some of the 'benefits' of grinding there)
Bit presumptious regardless.
Here is a table to kind of bottle it down to numbers, because part of the new lay-out means just not having as many channels too.
Because at least on EU, not even half of them get crowded during top hours.
If the playerbase increases they can always just plop an extra server group in, but condensing the playerbase a bit more would go a long way of also increasing the fun on potential PvP channels.
Post changes I see less need of having as many regular channels since you can just hop in Marni realm for half the day.
Channels # -> | Arsha (PvP) | Regular (more PvP) | Regular (more PvE) | PvE only | Total |
Before PvP changes | 2 | 34 | 9 | 45
After PvP changes | 2 | 34 | 9 | 45
With new lay-out | 6 | 18 | 11 | 35 |
Anyway, I'll let someone else crunch the numbers as it ain't my forte~
If you have ideas on how to improve it, feel free to post them!
Someone on discord suggested just having an Arsha server group with not as many channels, but I do like the idea of just grouping servers by their functionality too, like Balenos becoming the dedicated newbie server.
