I think if there were a lightstone that granted Death Penalty Reduction +X% as an option, not completely negating crystal loss mechanic but extending player options to negate it. Looking something like this:
Lightstone of Fire: Predation x2 (Monster AP)
Lightstone of Earth: Safe Passage (20%), so with 4 you would have increased reduction than with the lightstone set, but instead missing out on monster AP.
Iridescent Lightstone
Grants:
Monster AP +8 (To not entirely grief players AP while learning a new grind spot)
Death Penalty Reduction +60%-75% (Not completely negating crystal loss, but reducing it meaningfully enough with pet investment and a costume)
In addition, Death Penalty Reduction% should be increased on pets.
This gives options for both PvE and PvP (Red Players). Options are good. Artifacts haven't had an update in a while and this would be a great addition.
Nah! They need to ban crystal loss and only red players can have a chance to lose crystals.

I didn't know. This idea came from a suggestion I posted on reddit, albeit with a tiny bit more effort and thought.

There's a near 0% chance they remove crystal loss for PC players. Already has been stated enough times they won't remove it.

I don't really care about crystal loss, if they remove it, cool, if not, cool, but just to point something out...
...these are the same devs that were so staunchly against instances and look at where we are now.
We have wishy washy devs with a lack of clear vision and direction for the game. So you never know, it could happen.
Nope, don't put more bandaids on the situation. Remove crystal loss, remove gear downgrade while red and find a different way to deter players from going red.

I agree but a band-aid is a better ask than a complete fix for the situation, given their stance on crystal loss. There's openness to a crystal bag treasure item attachment or quest in the future. I get that people already don't want to grind or invest any amount of time into their crystal protection, but the reality is if they don't announce some form of protection this upcoming calpheon ball, we're never getting it.

their vision changes whenever random ppl start gathering around their working place.
