Fishing is a great way to earn a little bit of silver in Black Desert, whether you're a newer player looking to get started Fishing or a returning player checking out what's changed, AFK Fishing is easier than before to get into! So if you're ready to jump into Fishing, let me show you whats needed to get the most from your AFK Fishing and how to get started!

Though Fishing can be done anywhere and with any rod, there's a couple things to keep in mind when it comes to Auto-Fishing or just Fishing in general. The first thing before casting your line its best to get familiar with Fishing Level. No, not the Fishing Mastery level but, the speed in which a fish bites the hook. This is important when it comes to AFK Fishing with being able to catch more fish. Its also a good thing to keep in mind, level 5 Fishing also provides -5% Auto-fishing Time too!

 Don't worry too much about it though, its really easy to keep at level 5 with the Guild Skill Art of Fishing (if in a Guild) and any Fishing clothes like Silver Embroidered, Loggia, Crio's, and Manos. 

Speaking of Fishing level and how quickly the fish bites location is an important thing to keep in mind. The more people fishing in the area will drop down the amount of fish resulting in slower Auto-fishing Time which can be seen as Fishing Resources: Exhausted. Its best to Fish in Abundant Areas or Margoria

Fishing Mastery is the next important thing when it comes to AFK Fishing. This can be broken down 2 different ways with the Mastery levels like Proffessional or Master for example determine the different types of Fishing Rods or Lures that can be used, how much durability is lost, and the grade of fish that can be thrown out while auto-fishing. The higher the better keeping you AFK longer with not needing to repair as often and keeping those unwanted fish from filling up your intentory completely.

The last important thing to know about AFK Fishing is the Auto-Fishing Time. Normally it takes 3 minutes to catch a fish once it bites but there are plently of ways to decrease the time down to 1 minute which is capped -66% Auto-Fishing Time

The Balenos Rod is perfect for reducing the Auto-Fishing time coupled with the Crio's Sturdy Chair reduces the time by -30%. The Rod can be branded using the Item Brand Spell Stone to last longer (up to 10 hours of fishing time) while the Crio's Chair can be bought using 5 Discarded Glass Bottles at Crio in Velia. 

The Lightstone Combination Nibbles can be used to decrease the time down by another -15% and is extremely cheap to buy from the Central Market or Purify at Liana. The Artifacts you choose are not as important as the Combination so don't worry if using Fishing Mastery or Experience Artifacts or the lesser Generic ones too!

Buff Foods like the Coconut Cocktail or Eilton Sandwhich is great for hitting the Auto-fishing cap but if choosing to AFK Fish using other rods and Lightstone Combinations there still options to decrease the time it takes to catch the Fish.

Both the lesser Balacs Lunch box and the better but more expensive Marvelous version can help when trying to get that 66% Auto-fishing time while using A Mediah Rod or Sharp-Eyed Seagull Lightstone Combination. This can be a little redundant being able to hit the cap with JUST the Balenos Rod, Chair, and T4 Fishing Pet.
