Hello Adventurers,

With the newest patch we had an update in regard to Old Moon Grand Prix, the way it's queue works and rewards that comes with the content. In this post I would like to present you the changes and introduce new players to the activity.

◈ I want to race, where do I start?

To start racing you need to buy a special racing horse. This can be done through talking to the npc after joining the Grand Prix lobby.

The way to join the lobby is presented below, this can be done in the new UI layout.

After you select Old Moon Grand Prix a window will present, in which you can pick 1 out of 3 race tracks and join the queue.

After you click Enter button you will enter Old Moon Grand Prix queue which now is similar to queue of Arena of Solare.

Lobby will be created after at least 5 players join the queue, then you will get a prompt to join and be teleported onto the track, there you can talk to NPC Miles. Through him you have the ability to buy or take out your race horse.

Racing horse cost 30,000,000 silver. It does not take additional stable slot, It uses special Race Horse slots.

It is one-time purchase, after you register it in the stable it's going to stay in it.

◈ Sound good, what are the rewards?

Most imporantly you earn Old Moon Grand Prix Coins which are used to finish weekly quests that now can be taken from NPC Jetina. You also get Grand Prix Participant Certificates which work as a way to get more training experience and Trophies for placing in the podium places which are exchanged for furniture Trophy that gives training buffs.

Quests refresh each Thursday at midnight. Depending on position you finish on during a race, you will get reward chest as follows:

◈ But how do I ride the horse?

Racing horse rides a bit different than normal horses. Most importantly - There's NO drift -> Instant Accel spam, this actually slows you down on this horse.

You get two bars when you are riding Race Horse, the one circled in yellow, represents your speed. Each time the bar fills up you get a chance to Hiya! (Limit Break on skill guide) This will make your horse run faster, as it is represented by the orbs on the left. Be mindful though, if you press it too fast your horse will fail to speed up and your speed will go down to the start of the bar. The faster you go the faster bar on the bottom, circled in red, fills up. This bar represents progress to Giddy up (Sweeping Movement), This is your Instant Accel on this horse. Racing horse also can drift, be mindful though, it's taking a wider turn than normal horses.

Tip: After you register your Race horse you can bring it out in the overworld, you can use this opportunity to get used to steering. 

◈ Closing thoughts and an invitation for EU players

As Mythical Feather weekly quests return, it's really worth and fun activity to consider doing in your off-time from grinding or lifeskilling if you are planning on upgrading your horse in the future.

This is why I would like to extend an invitation to EU players (I sure do hope so there are such events on NA servers as well) that can't join races during the week. Each week on Saturday from 9PM CET I'm hosting races!
