Suggestions/Comments: It'd be nice if ocean content worked similar to land content. Underwater exploration/combat. Add different types of monsters to kill underwater. Maybe lamia as well as the ones already there. More underwater friendly lifeskills. Maybe add a 'Diving/Swimming Lifeskill.' Which would enable you to stay under the water longer along with more stamina. It would be seprate from breath/stamina on land. It would allow you to maneuver underwater more proficiently so you can explore, complete tasks, engage in underwater combat, ect. Corsair should start out with max diving or unlimited breath/stamina (underwater only) for lore reasons (similar to Hashashin bonuses in the desert) along with changes mentioned on my other thread; (Corsair) Please Overhaul 'Mermaid Form' & Rework 'Sea Lungs' Passive. Maybe add harpoon fishing for underwater or underwater hunting. Have a Diving Lifeskill Tool and Outfit Set same as any other lifeskill. Underwater mounts/pets. Maybe similar to GW2. Spread out the population a bit. Add possible underwater obstacle courses where you can race your aquatic mount against other players. Have various difficulty level courses, (Easy/Medium/Hard). Have aquatic mounts you can tame or earn through quests. Aquatic mounts would work the same way as mounts on land. When you leave the water your mount gets checked in at the nearest underwater stable or dock. Maybe have a pearl item 'Celestial Conch' which you could use to summon your aquatic mount anywhere in the ocean (which would certainly come in handy if you're stranded in the middle of the ocean). Similar to the 'Celestial Horn'. You could also buy equipment for them like any other mount. Which would also give more pearl options (costumes). Maybe at some point you could have Dream/Mythical aquatic mounts. Corsair could use her Dream Whales similar to Tamer's Heilang as an underwater mount. 'Splat Fisher's Clothes' and 'Da-Dum Da-Dum Diver's Suit' could be adjusted accordingly, (Fisher's Splat would more or less remain the same, Da-Dum Da-Dum Diver's Suit would add Diving exp gain and maybe unlimited breath and underwater camouflage). So like the desert camouflage but an ocean version/ocean buffs. That way those outfits would still be relevant even with Corsair changes. Add underwater stables and cities, (think Atlantis). You have as much ocean as you do land if not more. Yet it's mainly empty with a monster or pirate/ghost ship here or there. And below you have, I think one underwater ruin. Expand on that. Have lore objects/treasure items to uncover to encourage players to explore. Encourage new ways to play. More things to do and work towards. It'd make swimming actually relevant and worth doing. Possibly underwater pvp (with the same rules applied). With Aquatic Mounts it'd give players something else to work towards and a brand new method of travel. So you'd have underwater exploration/lifeskills/mounts along with surface exploration/lifeskills/mounts. Craftable Steampunk Submarines that would work similar to ships just below water. With craftable enhanceable equipment (amor plating, accessories, and weapons). Possible pearl skins. Also maybe redesign ships so you can acually go inside of them. A Captain's Cabin and Crew Quarters. Speaking of crew: Have a visible crew. You have a crew that you can hire but never see. Same way with the Corsair 'Slippery Scallywags.' Because the way ships are currently, they're kind of empty (unless you have a party/guild/group on your ship). Again Pearl Abyss would benefit from this. It'd be similar to underwater content from GW2 and FF14 but better. For similar ideas please see my other threads: Update Mounts and Airships and Gliders. Sorry for posting so much. My brain never shuts off, lol. I'd just like to see new interesting content added to the game to make it fresh and spread out the player population a bit. Give players more things to do by introducing new lifeskills, combat, mounts, and exploration. Give streamers something to actually stream about (besides grinding).

Obviously if they did this it'd be even cooler if they'd overhaul the Corsair 'Mermaid Form'. It'd give them room to shine.

Great idea but all this change can be done by just allowing T10 Unicorn to permanently ride the ocean as far as it wants with just few special horse skins. 

tbh, i have my doubts about underwater combats/lifeskills.

T10 unicorn could be a way to explore the ocean it'd be the best of both worlds, but they could still add others that you can only use underwater. So T10 would still be very viable and worth working for but you'd have other options for those who don't have Mythical Dine. Underwater combat/lifeskills could be tricky but I think if implemented properly would be well worth the effort.

I've actually posted about water mounts before.  I would love a hungry hekaru mount.

Would be so cool if the t10 dine turned into a hippocampus underwater similarily to the corsair.
