It could be true if market place didn't exist.

If a player comes and thinks enhancing is the only way to go, he may leave for this reason. He also missed many essential informations in this case.

A player who sees the market place knows that there's another solution to gear up, and choose accordingly. If you're used to grind games, you can progress really far and with a decent pace on BDO until you reach the real moment when enhancing is your only solution.

About PvP, pve... Yeah, I think devs should make a better job at blending them as much as they can, making it sound like a common occurrence. And maybe show that a pvp death in BDO is not a unbearable offence either. People are taking it too seriously.

Very few reasonable gamers, particularly PvPers, will stay in an MMO that demands such a steep investment of time or money to excel. Most reasonable gamers will gravitate towards other games that satisfy their needs for a fraction of what BDO charges. The problem lies in the necessity to spend thousands of hours grinding PvE content in circles, especially when there are games offering similar content for an average of 75 to 150 hours of grinding, and at most 300 hours. In its current iteration,

BDO simply can't compete with popular MMOs and PvP games like GW2, FFXIV, ESO, among others. BDO is only comparable to other lesser-known, sparsely populated MMOs and PvP games that are also significant cash and time sinks.

At the rate we are going. I can totally see in the next 2 years people will have to spend 100+ Billion silver per a single click. Just remember not even 2 years ago a single click to get endgame gear was around 600mil. Now a single click for endgame gear is around 5 to 15 billion silver per a click. It is madness at this point. Don't forget that you need around 20 billion in breakable crystals as well. And since those crystal even at 20 billion are a forced to be max listed at prices well below their actual value, good luck getting any in under 2 weeks time. Of course just like the rest of the game, unless you are one of the choosen ones who the game has pre-destined to succeed.

Players looking for such a game experience will stay. In fact, if a player takes some time to check the game and chooses BDO, he has no reason to gravitate toward other games.

But hey, old players and new players having fun here must be unreasonable. Personally, 300h seems really low, I'm not looking for expendable games.

Ah, you must be a PvE oriented player that enjoys PvP on their winning terms only. Or else getting to endgame in a maxium of 300h of PvE to PvP would more then likely be appealing. Don't get me wrong I'm not shaming you for being a PvEer. Just pointing out why BDO's PvP scene stand extremely little chances of growing in it's current iteration.

But I guess none of what I've just said on the matter has any weight anyways. Since the devs of BDO seems to be dismantling their PvP scene bit by bit. So my guess is pretty soon, we'll experience another mass exodus of PvPers from BDO. Till it exculsively the same 3 or 5 guilds fighting against each other. Just like it is in every other Korean MMO that followed this path.
