The same handful of people regurgitating their misery again. In a way, i feel bad for players that agonize over their own lack of will power to quit a game they dont enjoy.

I still enjoy the game. I object to how PA leadership is criminalizing pvp. I am a pve player, but I accept that pvp is and should be part of the game. Changing that now, after players have invested so much into this game is unethical.

That notion might go over well with the couple "pvpers" on this forum. I doubt these views matter to some people who are running an asian gambling enterprise and want strangers on the internet to contribute to their personal wealth.
And why would they care anyway? Most of these players are all talk, zero action. They got themselves hooked on the monetization schemes of BDO, the illusion of power and status the game is offering in return. They will continue to send money to J.
This game is empty. There's no purpose to anything.

Guild missions, world bosses and guild activies are abudant. Yet they dont offer players the ability to grief lower players, so PvPers complain. Hmmm very strange indeed.
It's not just the PvP content (or lack there of) that people are upset with. It's lack of content in general and the community being ignored. You don't like PvP, trust me you made it abundantly clear. We get it. We need actual changes to the game that players have been asking for, for a long time. Not short-term solutions. Meaningful group content (Not Grinding!) would be a good start. Meaningful PvP content to make it worth while for BOTH sides. Overhauling lifeskills in general (making ALL mounts useful for trading/training for example). Meaningful PvE content. Pretty much everyone just afk lifeskills or grinds (training dummies), because there's little else to do. There's not much incentive to go out and explore. I mean sure you can level to 66 and work on getting gear, but for what purpose? Grinding? Which brings me to my next point, when the community asks for new content PA thinks that means more grinding content. How many grindspots do we really need? But all you seem able to focus on is the PvP bit. It's like your brain short-circuits at the mere mention of PvP.

Yes. A culture that looks down upon asking questions and challenging decisions also stymies innovation. Many western companies do the same. When I was working, I constantly asked questions and respectfully disagreed when it was important. I had very large organizations under me, and I tried to foster an open environment. I never said NO right away. I asked people WHY and to support their points of view. Sometimes they were right and I changed my mind. I got the best out of my organization that way.
Companies like PA often lose the innovativeness when they become too big. They value stability and security over innovation. J is not listening to his customers now because he's too afraid of what his superiors believe. That's sad.

As usual you misunderstand. WE enjoy this game, and want to see it succeed. We want to see it do better because we LOVE this game. But we DON'T like the direction it's currently going. If the community didn't like the game, they wouldn't care so much and be so passionate and outspoken about the route PA are taking. Also there's no other game out that comes close to this one in terms of graphics and gameplay. It's the only true sandbox mmorpg right now with few games on the way. They could do SO MUCH with this game. It has potential and it CAN be saved if the devs cared to. Unfortunately PA has shown time and again that they simply do not care. So sadly I think most people are merely passing the time with this game until something better comes along. Whenever that is...

I am not sure whether it's apathy or being out of touch with their customers. I do think that they are too rabidly chasing new customers at the expense of existing ones, a clear mistake for such an old franchise.

Sadly that's what businesses do. Focus on bringing in new customers whilst ignoring the old ones that have been with them since the beginning. They always want quick easy money. If they focused on making good content that players have been asking for, they'd keep people long term. They'd make more money that way. After all, "happy customers are paying customers." I hope they turn things around, I really do because I enjoy this game, as do others. This game has so much potential. All we can do is wait and see.

Not all businesses. I was a general manager of two well known businesses, and I focused 70% on retaining current customers and 30% on bringing in new businesses. Now these businesses had been around for decades with very strong brand recognition and high loyalty rates. It would have been foolish to ignore my base. Poorly managed businesses forget a central lesson: Base customers are your most profitable customers. New customers exist to become your base customers.
