But there is only one strike that concerns PA. That is people walking away from the game, the lack of player retention. All recent changes were made to trim away the toxic pvp elements and make the game more appealing to new and causal mmo players.

That is their strategy and they wont significantly change that. Certainly not for a tiny fringe group of the playerbase that doesnt bring the numbers to support their desperate grandstanding. Honestly... just look at how few upvotes OP is getting. I dont event want to... Now, if these threads got thousands of upvotes you would have yourself a solid case.

But that's the idea. Devs blame pvp for the lack of player retention because it is an easy and comfortable solution for them, it allows them not to check the real problems.

I have stated this before, "Too little, Too late"..

I asked months ago for you and the other partners in content creation to speak up.

So what do we get from PA.. "Ators boots and new artifact"..

What do we get from content creators?!?!?!

SILENCE

Look we had the perfect opportunity to do something right along side of Korea's protest.

We needed everyone out there protesting as well.. stop spending cash for a week or 2.

Stop logging in for a week or 2.

As content creators you have the ability to reach a lot more people than any one of us in the forums INCLUDING the higher end guilds.

In the end a new peice of content comes out and everything is forgotten except the same ole regulars in the forums still complaining.

The only way to get Jae'Hee Kim's attention is a collective bargaining measure without it your words are simply smoke.

I am doing this.

I am not spending a dime on the game the past 5 months. Skipped all those x 2 Pearl boxes I always used to buy. Btw anyone noticed these pop up so often recently.... ?

Frankly, still sitting on 4000 Pearls cause everything to potentially spend them on seems stupid and pointless.

Calling out content creators here is right.

Them not using their influence but rather getting ppl to just carry on, keep spending cash on the game is one of the main reasons that nothing changes. The individual person just doesn't have  the impact. They would have it.

But I think by not openly acting to finally force an actual turnaround - or more: a development with a conscise, player and interaction-driven vision as it once seemed to exist - content creators are digging their own grave.

And even the seemingly critical ones are guilty of this, of keeping the cash cow running, of preserving the status quo (I am looking at you, team blue). They seem to just act mildly critical to get more perceived credibility that's all. Weak.

Keep doing Pearl shop reviews. This is fine.

BDO has never had group PvE content.

I've only logged in to decorate homes and RP.

It's rather dismal. I love dungeons, raids, and open world group PvE content in other MMORPGs.

In BDO, if I encounter another player... instead of becoming friends and joining a party together to quest together... the gameplay forces us to go our separate ways. Most areas are one player per rotation. It's depressing.

The gamplay itself forces players to be anti-social if they want good loot. I play next to my boyfriend. We're 3 feet away IRL, but there's nothing for us to do TOGETHER in BDO. We switch to other MMOs when we want to gameplay together.

The only group PvE content is shoved so far into endgame that new players are forced to do hours of solo questing and gearing before they can play with their RL friends who invited them to the game.

We have ocean bosses, but then we have to give up our phenomenal combat animations to load canons. Boring :C

I can't comment on PvP because I've never enjoyed it nor know anyone who enjoys it.

But this is the truth. I will write what I wrote a few years ago on the Kakao forum: many players who would like to return to BDO ask the same question: has unwanted, toxic open pvp been removed from the game?

And? Most players want solo content and don't want to be forced to play in a party. There is no mention of party or co-op anywhere in the MMO acronym.

Yeah, I play games with my parents. There's nothing for us to do together. Once in a while we go fishing...lol. Ocean combat could also be much better than it is. I think it's dumb how you can't do much damage (if any) with your own weapons or skills against beasts so you're forced to use cannons. Which wouldn't be so bad, but it takes forever to aim them and reload. They're more annoying than anything. So not really fun. As for PvP we've always tried to engage in it, but only if it was worthwhile. Just to fight for the sake of fighting or ganking is boring. The only time we've ever really pvp'd in this game was to defend grindspots which whould become pointless when they'd call their whole guild on the three of us.

Solo content in a mmo? Weird. I mean that's fine for when you're waiting on guildies or something. Or if you have a relatively small guild. Have plenty to do on your own, but it would be nice if they'd have actual group content that would encourage players to work together. Have solo things, sure. But also plenty of group content as well. Their solo content leaves much to be desired. It's mostly grinding and afk lifeskilling. Let the good times roll.

Mmo = massive multiplayer online.

And where in the words massive multiplayer online you have words party or coop?

The acronym mmo means a game where many people play together at the same time and who CAN, but DO NOT HAVE TO, interact with each other.

Guild missions, world bosses and guild activies are abudant. Yet they dont offer players the ability to grief lower players, so PvPers complain. Hmmm very strange indeed.

What do you gain from lying

The same handful of people regurgitating their misery again. In a way, i feel bad for players that agonize over their own lack of will power to quit a game they dont enjoy.

Agreed, the pve only players that wanted owpvp removed should have quit years ago.
