While grinding Orcs, had a very interesting idea for Realm Of Anguish. It'd be really neat mechanic if the duration of the skill was extended 2 to 3 more seconds and the casting sage can throw/cast Ator's Thorn or Basic Aatacks into the Realm AOE to amplify damage of targets caught in the Realm. This would further incentive strategy while playing this class and provide some interesting utility. Sage would basically become a spot or choke point holder feeding Rift zones that deal damage but only if that Sage is actively pumping Thorns into the zone...this of course ties into his casting speed passive. Instead of just basic attacking the air to get 10 stacks, let the sage do so in a way that's beneficial for his team. Thoughts?
Honestly tying class to ground sounds boring imo.
Making Realm Of Anguish move to enemy hit by Ator's Thorn would be more interesting if you want to add something to this two skills.
And we still don't know about full kit so any new mechanic right now would be bad idea/balance issue.
That being said I can see your point, while those 2 skills looks quite nice they feel useless and weak.
For now Sage looks like designed selfish class, maybe awk will give utility while sacrifacing mobility as absolute Rift Chain have 4 sec cd.
