I'm highly dissatisfied and disappointed to the point where I wouldn't even excuse anything less than the removal of genderlock. It's been 3 years with no new male class and honestly I'm highly considering never spending another penny in the game. Looks are very important, in fact I've got over 20 outfits on my Wizard. But this is intollerable having no male classes be released in such a long time.

Tag Sage. Similar feel to awakening wizard, but electric, more lore, nicer body.

Don't worry you're getting a male do wielding class with a sword and pipe. <Sarcasm

Like I've said on another post the hammer wielding class should have been a male dwarf. Not female Thor. Or a cute female version of Sage (but with HAMMERS). But we have too many classes as it is. It's ridiculous. Very cluttered. The classes could have honestly been condensed rather than come out with new ones. For example Woosa and Maegu could have been used for witch. They could have come out with the ability to use different weapon types based on your build to fully customize your character. Maybe added different specializations for ALL classes. But no, we'll have 50 different classes. 45 being female. Then there's the fact this game has been out for 7 years and most classes are HUMAN. THREE elves (only ONE is male), ONE Shai, and ONE Giant. Drakania is technically a dragon I guess, who looks like Lightning from Final Fantasy. And a supposed 'Mermaid Pirate' who's more like Aquabarbie (Corsair). Disappointing doesn't even BEGIN to describe it.

Isn't Guardian a female Giant?

You kind of touched on one of my big complaints and fears when the game first came out. PA said they wanted to gender lock classes so they can focus on making more classes, with greater detail. Which has heavily contributed to class bloat. We have been getting at least 2 classes every year, This has negatively effected the overall balance of the game. What's worse almost every class is some form of melee to close range skirmisher's, occasionally we do get a proper Bruiser, we haven't gotten a class with support features sense Shai, maybe Corsair if you squint. Then there are like 2 (3 if you count Hash) CC toons, only one of which (Shai) is actually considered good. I know the game is more like a fighting game, and not a traditonal MMO, but even then most charcter's are fitting solidly in the "Ryu" catagory. (To note I know next to nothing about the Twins, so maybe I am misreading them)

This problem would be strongly alieviated if they just slowed down, and made non-gender locked classes, or stuck to the origonal idea of every class having a counterpart that they dropped starting with Lahn, arguably Guardian, as Archer is kind of a Ranger counterpart. Of course we'd still have the "whoops all skirmisher's/Ryu problem", but at least it would not be as pronounced. At the very least they need to go back to the counterpart system with future classes, but it's not gonna happen. Also more non-human's, even if they have to be chicks. You cannot tell me you cannot make an attractive female Demi-beast (I am thinking the Deer Folk), or Dwarf, or IDK I'm sure there is something else I am missing. Just anything other than a human female melee-to-mid-range skirmisher.

Hmm I don't know if Guardian is considered a female giant, but it's the closest you can get. Personally I don't want to see what a female one would look like, but I've seen players who actually wanted to play one. The human only classes in a fantasy game with a mulititude of possibilites is getting rather tiresome. You see elven mages in the game, even giants, yet you're unable to create one. The closest you can get to an elven mage is Dark Knight. At least for female. There are giants and human men in Tarif studying sorcery but again you cannot create one. They could at least make it to where you can use character creation presets on ANY class. Example; Able to use Ranger/Dark Knight facial presets in character creation for other female classes so one could create an elven witch or sorc. I gave my witch pointy ears but they're hard to see, they don't stand out like an actual elf's. Or Archer presets for other male classes to create an elven wizard and so on. That would be a start.

While this is frustrating in and of itself, I don't necissarily need them to remove the race lock. They should however add an Elven head option to the Witch as cannonically they do exist, and it would not be a big leap. The wizard's slightly more of a stretch, as all the male elves are locked away in another deminsion save 2/3 in canon, the Archer, Caphras, and the Queens Advisor. I think there might have been an explination for the other Archers in game, but I cannot remember. I suppose you could say he's a survivor from the expidition that was sent to hunt Caphras, they supposedly died off, but that doesn't need to be the case.

There are aslo Shai studying to be Sorc's as well. Speaking of which it wouldn't take that much to make a male Shai, the real problem would be that all the Shai pearl outfits are clearly meant for a female character. Still an extra face and voice and a couple of animation changes would be all you needed.

But Giantish Sorc would be an awesome core concept for a class, have him using some of the same form of magic very differently.

I'd love to see a Giant sorc or mage type. It'd be really cool to see, and look imposing. As for the lore on the other things, I don't know how much they really stick to it. But I'm sure they could come up with a plausible reason for a male elf mage character. And yeah you see Shai witches and sorcs all of the time. They're naturally attuned to magic in general much like the elves. They would be harder to implement on the other classes because of outfits and body shape. They'd have to come out with a new class more than likely, same with a Giant mage class. I think people have been wanting a male Shai for a while, but sadly I don't see that happening. But elven presets on Witch and possibly Sorc should be possible. Same for Archer used on Wizard. Witches and Wizards are from another world so it could work. If there are humans on other worlds, why not other races? Especially elves who are naturally gifted with magic.

Wait are the wtich and wizard from another world? I thought they both came from the one we play in, but both ended up getting stuck in another world when they meddled with the powers of ancient forgotten gods tied to the classical elements. First the Wizard, and then the Witch. Only to both be released whene the Wizard motivated by seeing someone else get stuck in there with him (less deserving of the cercimstance than he) tried something desperate to get them both out.

I know the playable Witch in the Shadow Arena game was an Elf. So It's solid canon they exist, and it is very believable that the Lutharghans have Wizard's as well, making him be from the lost expidition would explain it well enough the more I think on it.

A Male Shai would be really nice to see. I usually like playing support in games, and love playing Halflings. So I'd love to see that, or really any new support, though preferably something more like the Witchard or Valk, a more robust class with support abilities. As I actually find the Shai kind of, braindead. I had one for a while, but could not get over how easy it was to play. Though if they made the Male Shai just a smidge more involved I think I'd be more likely to play him.

Yeah, I think they come from another world. Wizard came here first, witch helped him. Albiet inadvertently. I could be wrong though. Either way they could make it work lore-wise for either to be elven or human. I love playing support as well in games. Or mages. Always elven. So I leveled a witch and valk. Trying to get witch leveled more as she's more my style. They really need to come out with a male Paladin. For guys that don't want to get stuck playing a female. Maybe that could be Dwarf or Shai.

Halfling, is that from D&D?

Halfling, is that from D&D?

Halfling is what they are called in D&D, and most fantasy settings that rip's from Tolkien or D&D, but are too afraid to be sued by the Tolkien estate to call them Hobbits. Even D&D tends to come with with alternative names for Halfling, they call themselves Hin in the lore of both Mystara and the Forgotten Realms. Though Shai are more magical than Halfings, so more like D&D's Gnomes... but mostly their own thing with the huge focus on herbalism and alchemy.

Also please don't tease me with the idea of a Shai Paladin, it's such a pipe dream, and yet is my ideal aesthetic. Just a tiny dude riding into battle with a spear, a shield, and a whole lot of faith. By all right's he should be dead a thousand times over, but he's just got too much spunk to die. Funnily enough he wouldn't need to be a Paladin, just a Shai Warrior who does a lot of the same Shai Magic/Alchemy as the the current Shai. That's never going to happen though, especially with the name of the current Shai class being called, well, Shai. Though it would be a perfect way to add a proper Cavalier class without having to worry as much about his ability to fit into indoor area's.
