This is a brutal way of equalizing players, so much effort of leveling life-skills on alts just wiped away. :(

Game is seeing a lot of changes lately but I feel not all of them are for the good and instead they're just dumbing it down and/or alienating exiting players.

Do you think Guru6 + Guru2 = over Guru50?

1858 life skill fame. Guru on main, guru on alts. So stop crying because most of you, even if you have Guru50, it's only in cooking. And even if you have more of them, it's 24/7 afk in processing and fishing. And I will ask again: why do you need Guru50 in cooking, processing or fishing on the second character? Achieving Guru50 or even Guru30 in life skills other than cooking, processing and fishing is impossible for people who have not been playing since the premiere with computers turned on 24/7. The conclusion is as I wrote earlier: the "problem" affects a handful of players.

"Hundreds" and I only see 5. Multiplying by 35 channels gives us 175 out of... how many? 50,000 players? 100,000 players?

I wrote everything else above. Do you know how I made Guru1 in cooking? 99% producing only beer. You also "worked so hard" as me.

In that case, I demand that the seasons and Tuvala be removed from the game because everything I achieved in this game was reset to zero due to the addition of Tuvala (and Pens from Jetina).

i think OP should get over it, sailing/training/gathering are annoying not to be family-wide its a good change

PA should merge all EXP cuz its the least they can do for the lifeskillers.

So what if we made it to Guru 50 from just cooking beer and grilled bird meat? Sure it mostly afk activity, but it took a lot of raw materials and cooking utensils, used buffs, electricity etc. to acchive that goal, that for some reason means something to us. Now they are taking this away from us.

I do hope they will merge exp from all our characters and increase number of Guru levels.

And don't tell us that g50 is already enough ... same can be said about gear score. Why do you need new weapons/armors/accessories? Wasn't 620GS enough? Why do you need more? See ... same goes for life skills.

There's a pretty big difference between Tuvala and life fame. When you add things like Tuvala, you help out new players and you don't take away the progress of old players, you just make the gap smaller. If you eliminate life fame as it currently is, you're actively undoing a lot of the hard work that longtime players like myself have put into the game without really helping out new players in any meaningful way. You're not giving new players a shortcut, you're erasing the progress of old players. That's pointless.

I definitely think a unified system could be good and if it were implemented from the very start it would have probably been better but this way really hurts a lot of your long-term playerbase without all that much benefit added to it.

And what help did new players get to catch up with old players in life skills? Well, they got: 300% increase in pen manos Items prices.

It is not possible for someone who starts today to catch up with someone who plays 7 years!!! 

Life Fame requires 901 points, without much effort I have over 1800, so over 2 times more.

And no one cares about any rankings because they do not exist.
Ranking only shows players currently logged in on a given channel. At 6 am, even I was in top 10 mostly life skills.

No one takes anything from you. You have Guru 50 and you will continue to have it.

So the truth is different, you want to get something for free.

Is fully sufficient since 99% of players are not even close to this result.

Bdo is this your first mmo in your life? Every life skill ends at some point, you reach the maximum level and that's it.

Life skill levels should be ADDED across characters and everyone will be happy

As the player who's life levels that screenshots represents, I'm sure people can guess how I feel about said proposed changes and which four-letter words im using to describe how I feel about it.   While I am likely the most extreme example of this, having spent thousands of hours over multiple years working on my family fame to the point where even the next highest person is barely in the rear-view mirror, there are literally thousands of players who enjoy the same at a slightly more casual level.   It was something unique and special you did for virtually no gain that could set you apart from just regular lifeskilling.    I'm certainly not thrilled about all the prospect of all that hard work going poof  (between that and my most known descriptor being "The Trading Guy" it was a rough night for myself) and no one I know who has put any effort into purposely raising life fame is happy about it either. Already had 3 of them "quit" since last night.

The big problem is the lack of information from PA about what is happening and how this is likely to take place.  You don't jsut make such a huge change effecting so many people by spending 30 seconds showing some vague screenshot that says "By June we intend to make lifeskill levels family wide" then immediatly moving on to another topic while barely getting in a comment during the transition about "we'll do something about G50 levels".  We have basically no information to go on other then that and naturally with so many questions being asked about it people are just making assumptions or straight up making stuff up.  If you are going to make an announcement like this you better have thought out and decided on a plan that you can share already.

I can understand why PA thinks they need to make this change and I think of a way or two PA could make it work.  Unfortunatly I can also think of several ways they could royally mess this up. With odds like that, you can understand people's confusion and disappointment.  Presumably they would have to increase or uncap the lifeskill levels and merge the gained experience across everyone's characters.  The key word there is "presumably"  because they couldn't even be bothered to tell us in detail, we are just assumign at this point.  Are they actually going to increase the caps?  Are they going to merge the levels or just give us the highest one on the account? What are they going to do with the family/lifeskill fame system in general?  What about the players who spent $ or silver on coupons/costumes (particularly since they just had a sale on all that stuff and are still being sold), are they going to get refunded on those after this Uno reverse card is played? Are they going to throw a bone to those of us who are about to have years of effort washed away?   I could go on for a few more paragraphs but that'd muddle the post.

So yea, this needed and still needs to be handled a little better.  PA, if you are reading this, you really ought to have thought this out a little bit more and given out a lot more information from the get go.  At the very least, I would ask you give us a bit more detail on your intentions and how this would work, if only for the sake of clairity.  At best, you might want to get in touch with a bunch of us and talk a bit about all this.

Do I rly want to argue with you and your beginner-lvl life skills that you yourself dont even value? No.
