Hello Adventurers, 

The Open World PvP Scene is pretty much dead, because of the introduction of "Personal Marni Realms" and the change to one sided "Guild declarations". 

Players that enjoyed Open World PvP a lot are frustrated now, because this "content" got removed basically.

I was thinking about an Idea, how to bring back Open World PvP and make it even more interesting, but also dont force players into PvP directly.

- Corrupted Hotzones -

- New Corrupted Zones with increased Lootchance, Quantity etc.

- KOTH (King of the hill) feature to gain increased bonus damage / Droprates to monsters specifically in that zone and also gain a stackable bounty on you upon killing an enemy.

- Party Zones in Duo, Trio and Squad format

- Event Zones with Afuarus and Boss Monsters with a high healthpool

- There will be always 5 Grind Zones present that are affected by Corruption.

- The Corrupted Grindzones will appear randomly in the World of BDO

- Corrupted Hotzones can only appear in Nodewar Channels (Channel 1), where PvP is mostly present anyways.

- The Corrupted Grindzones will rotate between different Zones. 

- Karma Loss is disabled when you are in one of the Corrupted Grindzones. You will still not loose any Karma when you previously hit the enemy that you fought before and  Monsters will not be present at the edges of the Corrupted Zone to prevent "Runner" mentallity.

- Corrupted Hotzones will also be present at Seasonal Servers

- Crystals cannot be destroyed in these Zones

Where can i see which Corrupted Hotzones are currently active?

There will be a Symbol for "Corrupted Hotzones" . You can hover over it to see which Grindzones are currently active for that Zone.

You will also see an glowing indication on your map where these PvP hotzones are present currently.

You will get an announcement (If you enabled it in the settings), when a new Zone is being corrupted, so you have a bit of time to get there.

There will be 5 Corrupted Grindzones active at a time and rotate through party and solo zones.

There could also be an glowing effect at the specific Monster Zone to indicate the corrupted Zone (Hot Zone)

How strong are the Monsters within the Corrupted Grindzones?

The AP and DP Requirements change with the rotation between the Corrupted Hotzones (Corrupted Hotzones are not affected by Monster AP). There will always be Zones for lower, mid and endgame players.

The loot will be adjusted. Zones where you need higher Gearscore are yielding a better silver income.

How long will be a Corrupted Hotzone active?

A Corrupted Hotzone will be active for about 15 min. 

(Dont worry about Droprate buffs etc. These will not work for the zones.)

What are Event Zones?

From time to time there will be special Event Zones active that have an even more increased loot quantity and more rare drops. 

Afuaru Event:

Many Afuarus will appear that run around randomly and leave behind precious loot upon killing them.

Boss Event:

A Boss will spawn with a high healthpool that yield a lot of loot. Loot will be distributed evenly to all party members, same loot as you would do it Solo, so a party is recommended, since you kill it faster.

How does the Bounty System work?

To make these Zones even more interesting and engaging there will be a Bounty System à la KOTH. Upon killing an enemy you get a damage buff towards monsters that stacks with your Bounty Count ("Smashing" Enemy players increases that you know :P). Each Stack of your Bounty (up to 10 stacks) will increase your damage buff to Monsters and will add 20 Million Silver on your Head. So killing a max Bounty Count player will reward you with 200 Million Silver. 

The Buff will last 10 Minutes , but the Buff will be refreshed after killing another player.

*Bounty Counts only apply 1 time from the same player. There will be a Cooldown for each player that can apply the count. This is to prevent abusing the system*

If you are within a Party Zone, the whole party will receive the bounty count upon killing an enemy. You can also give your party a name when entering a PvP Hotzone.

There will be a Server Wide Message that appear on the Screen when you or your Party is dominating (Having 10 Stacks) 

"Player X is dominating at the Corrupted Zone X"

"The Party X is dominating at the Corrupted Zone X"

There could be unique titles?

The Corrupted Hotzones have a high increased amount of lootchance and loot quantity. Can you explain that more in detail?

To make these Grindzones more interesting, the monsters within that zone drop much more trashloot upon killing them and also have a high increased droprate (Droprate buffs , Agris Feaver or Drop Amount buffs are not working in these zones).

The Trashloot of these spots will have a higher vendor price and can drop expensive Accessories too aswell as other rare items like Caphra Stones.
