I am losing faith in these guys.  My primary complaints include: 1) their lack of innovation - including this class; 2)the unfair, unequal and capricious banning of people who kill certain players in pvp; 3) their overwhelming focus on attracting new players at the expense of serving existing players.  J's not leading.  He's reacting.

I totally agree it's a very missed opportunity because I also wanted a dwarf class with the hammer/sledgehammer gameplay. I even imagined he would have special abilities to him called like "Blacksmith's Perk"; where he can repair his own gear for free since he himself is from a lineage of blacksmiths. Also a +30% enhancement success rate bonus and starting out with Professional Gathering 1(from the Mining aspect).

I'm trying understand why they would give the hammers to Scholar since I imagine a scholar would have a weapon that's ranged instead of blunt. Even reading a little of Scholar's backstory makes me think she's more of an archeologist.

If she's an alchemist, she should be using her knowledge of chemistry as her weapon.  Not a hammer.

Alchemists are not really blacksmiths, and vice-versa.

Why can't you create her with deep voice, big muscles, put facial hair, buy a full plate armor outfit and call her MrMustache? You guys have no imagination.

i have no idea what the development costs would be - but I think PA would earn SO MUCH good will and positive attention from the west if they developed even the most basic of gender swap for each class, even with zero gameplay differences, just let people make male woosa, male maegu, male nova, male guardian, male scholar, male dark knight, etc, etc.   

I know so many people in USA who gripe and complain about "gender locked classes." I don't know what market research Pearl Abyss has available to them, but I feel so strongly that Black Desert now has a reputation of being "that game with nothing but women characters" and that is surely a weakness and not a strength at this point. 

Surely even some players who prefer to only play female classes, are starting to feel lik, "where are the male characters? We have a guild war with 100 v 100 and 180 of the 200 characters present are all women? isn't this strange?"

I'm willing to bet you never had a  relevent male figure in your life? 

This the thing Jeys, it was mentioned years ago by Jae Hee Kim ( The deceiver) that they were working on a Dwarf and  Rhutum class in BDO and afterwards they released seven or eight more female classes in the game. It's fine that people want to look at virtual ass and tits while they play, but not everyone in a Multi Massively Multiplayer "ROLE PLAYING" Game likes doing this. I have a real woman at home I can see BOOBAS and ass anytime I want so I don't particularly get jollys or joy at looking at it ingame. Myself  and others in America and Europe who engage in quality role playing ( Not ERP) like as many diverse races as we can get in a game. BDO and PA got it messed up as they are using these tit slider, OnlyFans costumes to seduce ass/ tit hungry people into spending their hard earned money on them ( IT"S THE SAME COSTUMES OVER, and OVER given to other FEMALE classes).

All I can say, they gonna end up shooting themselves in the foot with these laced skin tactics they keep using in this game ( Mark my words, it's going to come a day where they going  to lose a ton of people from continuously doing this), and when they finally do decide to put Dwarf, Rhutum, male Shai, etc in, no one will give a shit because they will have  moved on to other games that offer content and diverse race sustenance.
