Advocate for no gender lock and suddently any players would be able to play the class they want with their prefered gender.

I confess i don't understand players still play along with the gender lock to request male class instead of looking to play ANY class as male (or other way around)

This wasn't necessary when the game launched,  every "class" except Sorc had an approximated male counterpart and this was continued with Musa, Ninja and Stricker.  We never should have needed a gender "unlocking" shift in development in the first place.  We all know what actually happened...they shifted their company's focus around the time of that new battle royal attempt and the crimson desert rumors.  Everything being added to BDO after that point just became less and less consistent and more and more unsustainable

at the same time scholar brought tons of other players back into the game so good bye i guess?

it would be perfect if PA could remove genderlock and brought other races we see in the game such as dwarves and elves but i guess if they have to choose they go for the more popular one

I don't see the problem. All of the male classes that have counterparts are as good as or better than their female analogs.

Ninja is better than Kuno.

Musa is better than Maewah.

Striker is better than Mystic.

Wizard is as good as Witch.

Archer is as good as Ranger (maybe even a little better).

Warrior is as good as Valk.

Berserker is better than Guardian.

Hash stands on his own (he's a little like an analog to Sorc), but he's a very solid PvE class (not so great in PvP, I know).

There are fewer male classes, but they are all really solid picks.

But hey, if this is a showstopper for you, that's fine. There are plenty of other games out there.

A dwarf sounds cool, but I can't imagine the last time I saw one in a Korean MMORPG. They aren't catering to NA or Western standards, and based on previous updates, I doubt they ever will. Seems like a fools errand and I'm pretty sure PA has artist devs that worked on Vindictus, which has gone down a similar strain. I actually like scholar's design, it reminds me of famous alchemists during the renaissance era, like Flamel. Hopefully the next male class will be interesting.

Don't play a male class if you don't want to, dosent mean people who want to play male characters shouldn't be able to do so.

It's interesting that all Male classes have a female counterpart with the associated theme besides Sage while female's have exclusive classes with no male counterparts.

I haven't taken the time to study her lore, but if it's true that she's super old, like Sage, and both Sages and Scholars use their minds (don't see how hammers fit in with scholars, but they though we needed a hammer class that wasn't a dwarf), Scholar must be Sage's counterpart.

So, I think it's fine that Scholar is a female, as she is Dage's counterpart, but, still, they have been many posts requesting a Dwarf class, and dwarves traditionally weild hammers and axes, and almost every blacksmith in this game is a dwarf.

So, it's kind of a slap in the face to give us a female Human, not dwarf, that talks like a dwarf and had dwarf-appropriate weapons.  There's no reason for Scholar to use hammers, and in fact, it's really not logical.  Scholars tend to be sedentary, as their jobs demand a lot of research.  Few go to the gym, and few use hammers in their work.  Gravity control is not alchemy, so, I don't see how she's an alchemist at all.  They just call her one.  This class looks like a lot of ill-thought-out slap-dash, copy-paste.  

Hopefully they put together a logical story for her that is not at all contrived and makes sense.  Then I can forgive them this cash-grab stunt that insults those of us who have been requesting a hammer weilding dwarf for more than a year.
