Karma refers to the alignment system which affects your relationship to players and NPC’s, in regards to PvP.
You gain karma by killing monsters.

When you initiate open world PvP, or flag on another player, you lose karma for assaulting that player.
If you strike a death blow, you lose more karma for murder.

Incorrect, Karma is only a punishment, there is no good value to flag up, With no XP loss, no Death timer increase, no must release to city, and no other penalties aside from losing your Elixir/draught/perfumes the Karma system is broken.  It's too harsh of a penalty for the crime.  A person isn't sent to prison for 5 years for cutting in front of someone in a line.  Killing another player in BDO is a minor inconvinence.  Destroying a wagon or killing a person's horse barely costs anything to the other player unless the player overstacked the horse or wagon with trade goods.  A player should be able to kill 20-30 people before going negative and should be based off of maximum possible gear, not equiped gear.  If 2 players are equal gear score the person shouldn't really lose more than 1k Karma.  Yeah if you double or more the other players GS you should lose 100k karma, but that is only if the other player is wearing their best gear on their account.

TLDR Karma penalties and Karma loss are too extreme for the crime, thus meaning that the Karma system is broken.

Edit: LOL i am actually still Tilted about it so much so that i run only my main now and Flag the sec a wep drops, if i see a ghilie player on a horse come into my area more then once like they snooping around they gonna have interactions they were not looking for.

During the period while we can not flag on another player with our Tagged Char they should of changed the way weapons drop, by the time i realized i couldnt flag it was already too late and switching to my main via Tag though its fast guy was on a Peg and Gone no hope of retaliation and With Ghillie on they were gone.

I think the biggest issue here is how i found out that the Flagging system was not working, though it was a known issue it was not widly talked about. When you spend almost 2 bil on a char tag to have your experiance pretty much gutted and have zero comunication that is just piss poor.

I love PVP, I love interactions with other players so much so i go out of my way even in BA to train and help others that are having problems with there class even though we are Dec'd on them. Give them encoragment and leave them feeling that there is room to advance.

But to be such a slimy POS that you want all that interaction such as others on this thread claim then why Ghillie up and hide your interactions from others. why not be proud that you stole weapons and show your tag??? But again its part of western mentality too chicken shit to say things in public so you hide behind a computer and run your mouth, so why not add another layer of protection so you dont get your shit pushed in in a game then claim

Obviously interactions with other player are different for you as they are for me,  As you have stated in your previous post's the white glove treatment is not your style. I get it but when you write statments and Meme's about "Get Good" your missing about 50% of my 1st post and as i stated i was more than a bit tilted NOT BEING ABLE TO FLAG ON A TAGGED CHAR and specifically to a person in a Ghille on a dream horse that had ZERO intention of any such interaction other than steal and run.

Though i agree i have given weps away as well when more than one drop at the same time but when you dont have a wep and or you were timing it the lose of that wep can and will cost you over 50 mil.

If you enjoy interaction so much then maybe its time to remove the affects of Ghillie in the Hadum area and let all those wishing to run around wanting to steal things you are grinding hard for be seen by all.
