I'm telling you the unfortunate reality of what pa will likely do. I'm sorry if you don't want to hear the truth.

Listen, i dont get you, why you don't sell your BS right now, get basically free C20 and have proffit from it ? Because that exactly what people telling me to do, to throw away my C20 and buy BS (i have money but its a principle situation), if you care so much about value, here you go brother, free 70billions for you, but you need to speed up, beacause its exactly what will happens, people w/o any morals will start to selling BS's and buy C20. Can't wait to see PEN BS hit 50bils lower cap on MP, and Boss back to 20-30, what will you say then ?

Personally for you, i would not have any moral problems switching to BS, if PA was honest about, initally put all monster damage its have now and didn't hide 2% crit damage, but instead they hardcap endgame spot to amount of monster damage not reachable by anything but BS, which will be revealed soon and everyone will see "the equality" of BS and Boss weapons.

I don't know what all the hullabaloo is about. C20 is old. Black star is old too. The game will change over time. The promise was that c20 power/stats would stay the same as Pen blackstar. And so it shall. Nothing about the future announcement said that the power or equality between these two weapons would change. Neither of these weapons is changing.

No promise is broken, because no promise was made that they would be the same value forever or that the game would never change with upgrade paths. Values are driven by supply and demand. By the player base. The things people don't want are cheaper than the things people do want which are more expensive.

Some people are attempting to put words in the mouth of PA.

There is simply a new upgrade path going to be announced. And we don't know what weapons qualify or don't. There's no reason to get all up in arms because you're worried that you might be left behind in an upgrade path.

If you chose to stay c20 for PVP reasons, and they give PVE an upgrade path for new areas and expansions, then you'll need to get a second weapon for PVE, if they exclude the C20 from the upgrade path.

That will just give you more gameplay. Yay! One more thing to grind for! As long as they are communicative about it in a timely fashion so people can get started ahead of time, I don't see what the problem is. 

PVP and PVE are distinctly different gear, as much as life skill gear is different from combat gear.

If you want to PVP, then you need different gear than PVE.

Just like if you want to life skill, you need different gear.

I believe that is the heart of this argument. I believe they're trying to say that c20 should be useful for both PVP and PVE. 

And now that there is an upgrade path for the PVE line of gear, they're worried that they will not be able to grind and also PvP with the same set of gear. Valid fear!

But I say get over it, because they're distinct play styles that require separate gear sets.

Relax, I'm sure fallen weapons can be created with black star pen or boss pen cr10, just like armor.
The black star only option would make no sense.

read again.  if they are to be equal in pvp forever, then they should BOTH be capable of being upgraded to the better weapon to maintain equality.  ANy other choice is abrogating that agreement, unless you favor misleading customers.

Since Blackstar was the current "End Game" equipment, it should remain so until the end. What would be the point of giving people TET Bs for free if they were going to use the regular Boss Gear anyway?



Another thing, Boss Gear requires a much lower FS than Blackstar. To get a 5% chance of successfully upgrading, Blackstar requires at least 240fs. For Boss Gear we only need 157fs.



Imagine creating a c20 Nouver, which is a PvP weapon, and receiving a PvE weapon in return xD

In terms of price, it is also a slap in the face for a player with "V" in Blackstar, because the price is 120b+, while c20 Boss Gear can cost 80b.



And let's not forget about the alternative of creating Godr Ayed, who was supposed to help create PEN Blackstar, increasing his stats over time. Otherwise, these two existing "END GAME" weapons will be a dead end that is not worth crossing, because no one with common sense will make a Fallen weapon from the Blackstar, because there is a cheaper substitute in the form of the C20 Boss Gear.



They should create a new weapon, something like a "Treasure Item", which cannot be sold (after all, this is supposed to be the end game). You need to obtain e.g. 3 parts and complete a series of tasks to create it. And so they add more and more powerful places to grind, so it's END GAME for me. Why should a new player, who gets everything under his nose anyway, have to run around in the best Gear in this game?



If they created a separate item, everyone could choose the path they want to follow when playing c20 Boss Gear or PEN Blackstar, because in the end you will have to progress your character to get somewhere further than c20 Boss Gear, which had its glory years behind yourself.

And old veterans would also get a kick in the nose, as they would have to go grinding again, because their billions of gold in their account would only be useful for improving these weapons.

I think we just wait and see, hopefully they go a reasonable route nonetheless and prayers we get some type of hint/leak this month as to what that may be so we can all stop losing our minds over this honestly
