Karma bombing, is a total mess in this game, having someone come onto your rotation when you are 40 minutes into a grind, denying a duel for the spot. Then start farming, and you try to defend your spot, they take their gear off after realizing they are outmatched, and just die over and over till you leave. 

This system is abused solely by karma bombers. There should be a system that goes with the highest gear you have because right now, this PVP system does NOT work, not for those who get harassed by high gear players, or one for those with high gear who are just trying to defend their spot. 

I have not bumped into someone that has not abused the Karma system, solely to win spots from higher geared players, by not fighting fair, just removing gear being killed over and over till the player cannot defend their spot anymore, or risk going red when that is not their intention. It should be against TOS to abuse karma bombing so that these people can be reported for harassment, let the GM's investigate these situations, and if they see the person removing gear to solely karma bomb a player, they should be warned and then banned if they continue this abuse of the system. 

This system is there to support lower geared players, from people harassing them, not to be abused by normal geared players who take of their real gear to harass other players. 

If they fix KarmaCiding. Then they should fix Mob Feeding. And put PvP based AP and DP caps on all spots.

From my personal and guild's experience. The Karmaciding person is not defending their spot. But is invading someone else spot to class and or gear stomp them because they are sure it's a win. 

You know what would solve this? If half the channels got turned into PvE only channels. And the other half got turned into Karma Free channels.

But from my experience most people who cry about the karma system. Just want to block others from progressing and simply gear block them from content. Kinda like those 280+ AP players that hang in spots like Pollies, Manshuums, Murmok, and Sultz. So that will never fly with players looking to PK with no repercussion, or worst make their victims lose progression for being PKed. lol

Mob feeding was a result of the Karma system not working. 

Karma Bombing is when a player intentionally removes gear to result in a massive loss of karma from the other player. 

My main issue, is with players, who even though well geared, are abusing this system to grief and yes this is 100% griefing, other players, this is not fighting fairly, this is an abuse of the way the Karma system works.

Truly new players should absolutely have something which protects them from higher geared players, but this is completely failing both sides of the system if someone truly wants to grief people, which btw, I have actually not encountered, personally, going red is still a bad thing. 

However, having guilds unable to be decced on just because they don't currently have a war or this system where just because they remove their armour you are automatically losing 101k karma, is absurd, when usually the person is actually well-geared player, and lost two fights, and now are griefing.

There is no such thing as karma bombing as nobody forces  you to kill the same player over and over apart from your own ego. You have the same options that I use when it happens to me. That is you can change location or change server or swap to another alt and do something else.

Thank you for making my point for me, as Chriszo, has so kindly said, basically you're forced to accept defeat, in a situation because the harassing party is given complete dominion of the situation, you have no recourse except to give up your spot, which you may have been on for a long time, because of the harassment of another player.

If you are using a lost scroll, you lose time, if you are enjoying your grind, you lose your enjoyment to a frustrating mechanic that has no recourse, I thank you Chriszo for your valuable input, you highlight quite nicely the finality and unfairness of this situation and why it needs to change. 

If you are using a loot scroll swap to another alt, another server or another rotation. You do have choices just as I a pve player has to swap to be able to do quests, or life skills without be harassed by some player attacking just because I am there. No matter, nowhere near a grind spot. I do not grief, I do not karma bomb and I do not attack ither players. I just try to kill faster if I were there first or leave. I also do not blame other people for going negative karma because I constantly killed the same player when there are other alternatives.

I respectfully suggest these are not choices when they are being forced on you by a broken game mechanic. 

These are your only choices, and not one of those is a fair choice, considering you have just been pushed out of your spot, by a player that has just abused an in-game system, to push you out of your rotation. Even though you worked hard, you have duelled people you have been farming quickly, yet they come along, start griefing your rotation, refuse to accept a duel for the rotation and insist on farming on top of you. 

This is a PVP game, the ability to flag up, is there to defend your spot, but currently, it has no function other than to allow people to grief you. What if you are on a class which farms slower than other classes, do you give up your spot, because oh they win because they have maxed out AP took off all their DP, giving me no choice but to leave. 

Because to me, that is not a choice, that is broken. Completely. That is a system which rewards harassment, and none of your arguments denies the fact that you are rewarding players who are happy to harass and ruin the game for other players, your response suggests a hide this issue under the rug because you don't mind being harassed by people, likely because you either do not care or you are not the one being harassed.  

I've suggested in the past a system where the person you kill have a timer.

If this person keeps returning without eceding this time for example 30min, you don't lost karma. Basically you only lost your karma 1 time until timer for that person expire. I think this is the unique way of this system could work.

Other old suggestion was when you kill the same person many times add a ress CD to near node so after several times this person need to ress on town.

There you have my two cents.

This seems like a reasonable suggestion. 

This satire episode of karma bombing needs to be understood in one of two ways...

 1) Either the system favors weaker players; where they end up winning the grind spot and carrying on. 

OR

2) The system favors the stronger players; and now the strong get stronger and the rich get richer. 

you see... with either outcome, there would still be players on the forums crying about the result. based on the argument of the OP, he wants to win becuase he gets griefed by weaker players. 

Now that you see it in black and white, what would you have us do? besides having some ettiquette.
