We seem to be stuck, can't go to higher zones even with good crystals and get wrecked. You seem to only buff higher zone monsters for trash loot.
I can't go to turos yet which would be the next big zone for trash and price increase. So I'm stuck, I have pretty good crystals too...
I play Warrior, while Maegu players just zip though grinding with grace and ease... JUST make PvE grinding equal for all classes...
Maybe my skill set/list addons are not in right order but seriously. Stop punishing classes/players for what THEY WANT TO PLAY.
This makes it less fun to play cause the latest new class in town just runs over older classes in PvE.
I can't go to turos yet
Why not? When I first grinded Turos, I had around 340 DP, and at that time artifacts did not yet exist, and years of class buffs hadn't yet been enacted so all of my ability damage was much less than what the same class & gear could do today, I didn't have spammable PvE Iframes yet, we had fewer journal stats, and we had no Fallen god armors yet providing monster DR, and many of us also had fewer blackstar weapons as well. We also had crystals locked to gear and had fewer slots for crystals available than today, so that was yet another aspect in which our power was less at that time. If I recall correctly, we even had skill addons that were split bewteen awakened & mainhand ability slots to further restrict the flexibility of our combos and ability to get strong buff effects reliably. And yet despite all of that, we still grinded turos and got flames for armors.
If anything, it should be easier than ever to punch far above your weight in PvE today than it used to be. I know this sort of ignores your main argument and replies with "back in my day it was worse..." but is there really any other response, besides to try to encourage you to try Turos with your 27x/34x gear now? I am sure you can succeed there, because we did it, and today it's even more doable!
That said, I certainly agree that class balance in pve should always be a developer consideration. To their credit, I think a lot of work is going into making most classes perform relatively similarly at a lot of spots. There are some patches when the new class utterly dominates the meta, however. It's an ongoing thing that requires ongoing balancing.
The problem is 'recommended' AP/DP is a lie/fake, while PA will show true/hidden AP/DP thats the real info that tells me if It's SAFE to go to Turos and not get killed.
I could go to garmoth and input in all my items/crystals/add-ons etc and try to get the real AP/DP true/hidden but I don't know WHAT that translates to to recommended true/hidden AP/DP..
Once PA rolls out that monster area button change it might help understand what these numbers actually mean.

This I agree with 100%
The sheet AP/DP below equipment is so abstract and separate from a person's actual stats, that it does NOT adequately inform people of how strong or how prepared they actually are for a monster zone. I vote for a re-evaluation of how stats are displayed to players and how stats are used to show where a player stands relative to different monster zone requirements.
I think the problem is: Not everyone plays Witch... 219 DP in Dekhia Thornwood.
Sure, let's just make all end game gear pointless. Make it all zones season gear ready, then gear progression is stopped. Everyone is happy.

Don't be such a baka he is not asking for that. He absolutely has a point in that your sheet ap/dp and actual ap/dp with all bonuses included are wildly diffrent.
MMORPGs are not a sprint, I think everyone understands that, but I'd like to know WHAT im fighting vs dying and losing a 1.2 BILLION crystal or more... yes we can recover those now free... but still....

It would be cool to make monster zones that required more skill opposed to more gear tho haha.
Turo is a duo spot, have you going there with a buddy?
