As it currently stands, I believe the changes on Global Lab to Awakening Drakania have a good chance of killing the class in PvP and are also going to have a large negative impact on her PvE capabilities which she was already pretty underwhelming at.

I do think Drakania being able to CC you before she's rendered on your screen is an issue, but Drakania is not the only class that is capable of doing that, and it's not so much a fault of Drakania as it is a fault of the engine that you've chosen to continue using for the game despite it being unsuited for the way you've further developed it.

Drakania's initiation outside of her being able to hit you before she's rendered is already mediocre if you look past the speed of it when she's flying because she's unprotected during it, meaning it gets absolutely blown up by all the massive AoE CC's that many classes have, some of which actually have protection too.

Her mobility while fast in her flight is also really lacking outside of it. She gets stamina starved very easily and it'll be really bad with the massive 150 stamina cost slapped onto her unprotected Tip of the Scale skills. Drakania really struggles against faster classes with more natural mobility and without playing perfectly will simply get overwhelmed or worn down through attrition because she can't keep up with how quickly they can maneuver while she has to wait for her Dragonwalk and Refraction cooldowns, Refraction being the only one that has i-frames. They're also often both used together in a fight because they don't move her enough otherwise.

Drakania's flight is also actually a lot more difficult to control and utilize well than pretty much every other class's movement ability in the game and I've played every female class except for Tamer and Shai. The only time it's easy to land something on an enemy with Drakania's flight is if you can go in a straight line and they don't move at all, but with how much mobility tools exist for most classes in this game it's unlikely to be like this in most cases. I think a lot of people completely forget or overlook the fact that half of Drakania's awakening skill set is extremely slow and vulnerable with a lot of gaps in protection. She's very easily grabbed and very easily punished, and even when she is quick in Hexeblood her attacks mostly all hit in a straight line unlike a lot of other classes that get to just mindlessly throw out AoEs that cover a huge 360 degree radius around them. Her grab is actually very hard to land against anyone who's actually trying to avoid being hit, and especially against classes that have good mobility options. All of her knockdowns are very slow, unprotected, have minimal AoE and leave her completely open to being punished.

The nerfs to her self healing is something I'm kinda unsure about at the moment. Those nerfs don't seem to be too bad from reading it in the patch notes, especially since it looks like some skills had it buffed a little, but I do think something to keep in mind is that Drakania is for the most part a slow bruiser class who just happens to get to go fast sometimes with her flight ability. Despite being slow most of the time she has many gaps in protection and basically needs to have some self-healing otherwise she'd get completely destroyed in trades or exchanges.

I think a lot of the people who've been crying for nerfs to her have little to no experience actually playing the class and lack any sort of fundamental understanding as to why parts of her kit function in the way that they do. I honestly think that if these changes go through as they are that you wont be seeing very much awakening Drakania anymore. It's simply not going to be worth it to work with a class that's difficult to use when you could just pick classes that are much easier and have less flaws.

People downvoting without saying anything are just proving me right. They have nothing to say because what I've said is the truth. It's facts instead of hurt feelings and bruised ego over getting beaten in PvP.

The only way to make ppl she how drakania is, is to let her be nerfed for few years for dents to see/realise what they did.

These nerfs only prove three things: the pvpers are immature and unintelligent children who can't stand losing, pearl abyss only listen to the %1 of players, and the players in this game don't understand the class diversity and meta is makeup of all MMOs. Just cause you don't know how to beat the class doesn't mean it's broken, your just bad at PvP. Drak is right now is not even top three ranked and yet it's broken. Give me a break. The cycle of crying am begging for classes to be nerfed leads to classes dying leading to less class diversity and thus even more anoying metas are created. Unless you have solutions to re work the class in a positive way then your opinion doesn't matter. Just saying nerf it or it's broken does nothing. Provide fix's or solutions and not your personal problems.

It really doesn't matter what Drakania players say that play the class outside of just PvP. Awakened Drakania is easily countered with slows and MP drain and her movement has tons of gaps. The people just don't want to deal with the class anymore by flavor-of-the-month players capitalizing on low-effort, high-rewards shenanigans. Awakened Drakania has been this way since launch; it's only a problem now because of other changes like add-ons and other class nerfs (like Succession Maegu) that made them fall out of favor. I'm going to miss Hexeblood: Tip of the Scale spam in Polly's for easy guild missions, truffles and Atanis' Element, but it is what it is. Nevermind just making it so Hexeblood: Tip of the Scale not regaining stamina would be effective at how long she could move. She was starting to feel decent in PvE, but unfortunately, these nerfs also affect her PvE without even addressing some of the real oppressive things about the class (like perhaps a little too much CC - unless this one clip is out of context and the opponent is running 0 resistance crystals to make it worse than it actually is). The overheal bug is not even fixed despite PA saying it is.

i could write an essay on how this class terrorizes most forms of bdo pvp for hellofa long time but that would be parroting what whole community already knows.

So you have nothing, got it. Very obvious considering your Drakania is level 6. Wont even say anything else about the sus characters and names you have in your roster.
